  1. maybe you can, but how long will it last. the car only had an auto box fitted last year by its last owner. :o
  2. later cars and most replacement cylinders now sold have a bleed valve on the end. This makes the job easier. the other main problem IMO is the fact that the bleed valve on the slave cylinder is BELOW where the pipe comes in, thereby leaving a potential air bubble above it.
  3. Well they are undoubtedly a pair of really good tyres at a very good price. Its just a pity they arent the best size for a 300. They would probably have sold within a day of listing if they were :D
  4. It will be almost 10% out. Depends how you do the maths So your acceleration will be 10% slower. the numbers are Stock 245/45-16 =817 revs per mile. 285/40-18 = 748 revs per mile The main problem tho will actually fitting them under the arches. I think they might foul on the suspension on droop. My real question is ... whats the point in fitting a tyre so badly sized when every tyre dealer in Britain can get you the "right" size  In my case there is no other suitable Mickey T to buy so Im stuck with the 274/40-17. The loss in accel is more than overuled by the hoooge increase in traction tho  The tyres will "hold" 600bhp with no spin ;)
  5. IMO... they are waaaaay too tall 265/35 -18 is the accepted size for the nearest rolling radius to stock. IIRC. Also I run a 275 Mickey T on a 9.5"rim and in an ideal world it needs a 10" So AFAIC its not a good choice at all :mac1: But no doubt a whole posse of "experts" will be along to tell me how wrong/misguided I am! :x:
  6. You will need to wait till the block/crank is stripped down. ;) Or just take yer pick and bung em in
  7. Never mind where it is.......Just get yer name down    You can just follow me! Im up for this Ceejay as said today. :D
  8. Just ring Luke. His bodyshop man Frank will do it all.
  9. Chalk n cheese springs to mind. Ie not interchangeable.
  10. Looks like the 100 size is correct. i have just found the wheel too. I think it is a Woolfrace IKON PLUS. I will problably put them in the local "Free ads" paper as they will be too expensive to post/send and not worth travelling far for. Just need a buyer now ;)
  11. thanks for that. Any idea what cars use the alternative set up ????
  12. I have a set of Woolfrace 17" x 7" alloys (like in the pic) When you take the centre cap off there are two choices of 5 holes. Now obviously one set is 300ZX and similar cars but does anyone know what the "other set " of holes is, or what cars they fit.??? I wanna get rid of them and Im sure they will fit "loadsa cars" LOL. tyres are a bit skinny at 215 for a zed.
  13. Yep! Wot Mark sed is true. I did it my re welding the boss on the header. But either method will do! And the "ding" on the pipe normally needed too. XS Power are not really UK based they are US based, but AFAIC are only an importer of "Taiwan Tat" like this However this particular item is well made (for the money) and wont fall to bits after 3 months like some profits of doom say.
  14. I wonder why its on 200SX wheels?????
  15. It certainly wont fit on a standard width trailer!!!
  16. Wots so funny then. Its true... ask Luke. He showed me the originals ... and I thought it was his moulders first trial attempt at copying them!!! :x: :o :o :o
  17. I saw the originals from Japan before he made the moulds.... they were crap too :x:
  18. Err actually it was MY IDEA... you both saw them gold wheels before and after I sprayed them anthracite .... and copied
  19. I believe so. IIRC Jeff at Zedworld has modified 2+2 doors to fit SWB. But probably easier to source another SWB door.
  20. Correct! Just need to ditch them ally "Corsa style" floor mats :wack: :) :) :)
  21. Nissan dealer only for glass. Horrendously expensive.
  22. Nope! The brakes were designed for the car. 4 pot calipers and vented discs arent crap. If the breaks dont stop the car then you have a fault ... like Legrath says
  23. Just as Mr Duff says..... look on the label and you can see the number. HTH
  24. It did...........................but after I picked it up from the docks on its trip back to the UK I left it in the local pub car park while I had a couple of :duffer: and some sod nicked a couple of bits from it..............................
  25. No shooting down etc. You are merely saying what I and others believe too. :) Mike Feeney has a spec for "modified SWB" springs since he sent some to his spring maker :)
