  5. i brought one of these the other day. it wasnt in the polishing section but in the body work reapirs ilse. with the fibreglass etc. i used it ona drill and whilst it came out ok, i would say something with a little more grunt would be required to get a perfect finish.

  9. poll should be created to stop him breaking this one. lol, nice buy jim. hopefully you will be driving it soon.
  10. a few of the local guys hae had 7s apprantly there super juicey one had one running 400bhp and that ran single figures, they have a bad rep for relaibilty, which as gonzo said is mostly related to poor mainatince. however an engine that needs rebuilding after 60k miles is in my mind a poor design. they are fot an entusiast who has money to lavish on them. but thy are one of the prettiest cars ever produced. my father owns an 8 and is constantly threanting to sell it. hes had it for three years it cost him alot of money at the time. now its worth sod all, its the 231 model and its slow. my standard zed leaves it standing. the feul ecconomy is awful, for a modern car and he does lots of motor way miles. it has an unsual quirk that is seriously dissappointing. if used on a quick run, ie not long enough to warm the engine... you can go back and it wont start as its flooded itself! you then have to turn the engine over which the feul relay out till it bursts into life, kicks out loads of black smoke then runs fine. he did this twice before investigating its cause. so basically if he has to move it off the drive he has to leave it running on the drive for 5/10 minutes to warm up to stop the issue. not impressive. high milage models suffer lots of internal issues just like the 7. on a positive note its surprisingly spacious and can be picked up for a bargin second hand now. if you want a cheap run about buy one the rx series are not an ideal second run about car imo. go buy a vectra for the school run keep the zed for fun times.
  11. yup dave is right i have this its a total pain. only end up using a third of the speedo.
  12. hey where goning to be having a meet in hampshire over the next few weeks come along?
  13. service it, tahtw ay your future proofing it. you can drive it serivced with a auto box what you cant do it drive it with a manual box and a fubared engine because you opted to manual first

  18. bloody nora. well i suppose they had lost no material. as long as the weld is well penatrated and clean the really it shoouldnt fail.
  19. better to get the car right than fluff it up because you wanted to go to a show. its only a show mate, you have to live with the car
  20. i went with the lwb for a big reason, i simply didnt know about the swb. you can hardly call the rears seats hence why its a 2+2 you could get two children in there, tahst what i keep telling the mrs in relivance t keeping it long term. anyways ive had an adult or two in there and they end up sat sideways. theres just no leg room. ive laways liked muscle cars which are generally four seater so it never seemed a big deal to me. all of this proportion talk is grat however at a quick glace when rolling by its hard to tell. me and hellraiser where recently parked next to eachother hand having the conversation about how much sorter his shortie is when up close to compare its only 9"s iirc. looks alot sat side by side but flying past at upwards or 50 who can tell. yeh the lwb looks a tad lanky at times but tahts what makes it a super gt rather than just another sorts car.
  21. only 35 that sounds a little cool thats 6 degress short of body tempreture....
  22. ok, three things taht would make that 100% better, spoiler change that ones awful. roof and door pillars etc black you knwo the look i mean. and those corvetter style rear lights need the bin. imho :D
