  1. did i just read that right you needed a rebuild after 3000 miles?
  2. Not that my car is ready to be tracked but what exactly is involved like costs requirements bookings, id like to track mine one day and ive never done a track day before.
  3. In fairness seeing how much the block moves about I wouldnt be surprised if you have created one or two boost leaks and there the issue.
  4. Mine idles at 900 rpm always has.
  5. Problem is dave, there shitty cars that no one but us likes... All jokes aside, there not very common mosdt garages cant or wont touch them, to do anything like injectors and tubs is a pain in the ass. also itx about usage, how driveable is a zed with 500 horses with no traction control? We all know the answer.
  6. Do the rocker seals if you have the time, and clear the oil and water pipes. Replace any small water pipesat the back.
  7. With psf on it as a guess no you want auto box fluid dextron 2 as mikey said
  8. pretty sure it will bing or bong there is an audiable noise if you hit the speed restrictor.
  9. Yep living out of two houses atm while we save but yeah bmth and ringwood just on the dorset and hants border. Im also out dorch and weymouth way basically I get around dorsey lol
  10. We are doing them together craig, so were discussing this and could decide what to do about the booster and its assosiated lines.
  11. i cant see much point tbh, yeah its hot under there but there has to be a point of it not making much difference obviously if you were planning on making an endurance racer or running serious serious hp for long times then maybe but in the mid range of power i think one large rad would be man enough. rear mounting is an option ive seen on many cars but im sure the main reason is durability rather than anything else. i think you should go with a large aftermarket rad maybe a coolant expansion part to allow you to carry more juice, and a good quality oil cooler. cant see ypou needing more than that tbh. maybe venting the bonnet if your really paranoid.
  12. i agree with richard, my zed handled much better when i put stock rims on. but i had an alignment done aswel. massive difference. seems worse traction sinc ei fitted the 18s but i needs rejigging as ive moved alot of the suspension recently.
  13. the ngk plugs that were fitted rom factory where actually specifally designed for the zed. so its best to stick with them theyre was alot money put into getting them right. most find there is no need for cooler plugs this side of 450bhp. there was a recent tread carmad had going where he was running 555 injectors without the cooler plugs it just didnt work right.

  15. Meet where?
  16. i have to say i agree with smithy, i remember building my old engine which i fitted high lift cams to, it did increase peak power but shifted the whole power balance more suited to track than road. and it idled like crap. theres alot to consider when changing cams mostly what you really want to gain from the process, as changing cams isnt really a first stop shop to gaining more power more a compliment to something else. im not sure about the vg but the last engin ei pulled the cams on the head had to come off and new bearing pressed in each time and machined. imo for the gains your talking its a waste of time you would gain far better from other mods. that would be easier and cheaper.
  17. Pictures are useless without sauce.
  18. Pretty sure I have these, theyre ok not as good as others but we were discussing this last night about dirty lenses. I think you can put better bulbs in later if you choose
  19. Sorry got distracted, er ... Was the lau.ch at redline. Yup lol
  20. Things have moved on with traction control and diffs these days. But historically fwd cars are poor over 250 bhp you get mountins of understeer. I remember my mate taking a fiesta rs with his focus 2.0l the rs owner obviously though the idea was t
  21. i like it with out actually, there is a veilside one, which has a slight curve into it deletes the brake light and curves out the corners. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=veilside+300zx+spoiler&hl=en&biw=1366&bih=587&gbv=2&tbm=isch&tbnid=lulFE1pJelHy4M:&imgrefurl=http://www.zshop.ca/parts/z32-veilside-eci-wing/&docid=DcJqkYI_9bsR1M&imgurl=http://www.zshop.ca/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/164827_10100137822998461_6000674_53084495_7293452_n.jpg&w=720&h=495&ei=HY0MT9LbDMis8QPW1p3lBQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=4&sig=118239847399106631885&page=1&tbnh=120&tbnw=244&start=0&ndsp=19&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0&tx=197&ty=39 now thats a better version of the 89 spec.

  23. im sure your welcome mate, id pop over and meet you with gaz this weekend when you come down but im hella busy. be good to put a face on you :)
  24. they just dont know the ins and outs of the vg lump, and because its so tight they get put off. but at least the admitted they dont wanna get involved rtahre than pretending they can do it and ****ing it up. as has already been said its probally a leaking line or a rust hole. best thing to do is get under there and clean it all up. with that amount coming out you will so see what its coming out of. take a pic we can identify it and then go from there as to how to replace it.
