Just flip it round. They build them with the intention of blowing this increases evaporation and gas exchange which is an excellent way to cool the water unfortuntly with a closed hood it doesnt allow the warm air to be pushed away. I take it you have no cross or h pipe in yhe exhaust neil? As said could be an o2 which would explain the over fueling too. Think that car needs hooking up to conzult and checking over really.
