  1. its called a vadar...second time http://www.madmotors.co.uk/extreme-dimensions-nissan-300zx-90-96-vader-front-bumper.html?source=googleps&id=3782
  2. that sounds er lovely lol. right first things first check you have all the cylders working. work back through from one to six and unplug the coil pack connector. if it changes note that one is working. secondly go over the lines and check nothing popped off a large boost leak could cause it to run like this. failing that it could be spark(ptu/connections) or maf related. id pop over and have a look but i dont have a car myself atm my zeds in bits and im not supposed to use the van for personal use. its worth running the ecu for diagnostics you can do this by turning a simple pertentiometer in the passenger footwell it will give you a list of faults or display an alls ok code. but personally to me it sounds like things arnt quite happening in the correct order rather than mechanical failure, are you loosing oil/water or producing smoke?
  3. if it wasnt for the missing o ring mate id have them both done. the 360 kits were a bit confusing but i believe ive got it now. the stock thrust bearing has the aztec type pattern below and a dimple in the top plate. on the 360 i think the dimple goes on the underside. after reading and re reading the guide provided on the U.S site stating make sure you refit the thrust bearing the right way up, the way its spaced you cannot refit it upside down without fitting it 180 degrees out, so i assume that they mean. im tempted to rig up some sort of oil circulation machine to flush them through with oil, and test their sealing properties aswel as being able to use it to prime them once bolted onto the block..... hrm
  4. i think its a zcentre copy called vadar maybe or carcept? have a look through his place.
  5. one fully reassembled now, and the other im an o ring short they gave me the wrong size, doh. have to wait till monday now.
  6. adrain flux are generally cheaper for modded cars as its their speciality. but im with fj and paying sod all esp considering im driving a manual tt and im only 26
  7. yes its because hes used the tt belt and pulley on the na pump. i think youve got to use the bracket from the na pump aswel as teh pump as it sits further forward or backwards. someone else will be along to clarify but its to do with the transition from one to the other.
  8. there is a chap round here witha jeep and the plate is b16 nob or something of that ilk but yeah it reads as big knob.
  9. right rebuild kits are here all shiney, complete with the stepped rear seals and 360 degree thrust kits. :) one was goosed the rear seal face had a chip out of it and the rear compressor wheel was bent. this was incidentally the leaky turbo. anyways putting them back together over the next few days. :) its been a guy called craig i belieev over at cr turbos ive been dealing with an dit seems hes a pretty patient and helpfull guy. :)
  10. front mounts and z32s yeah i recon mostly cosmetic prated smic have more advantages. i think the reason you see less behind the 89 is mostly because people as you say think about airflow, also the 89 will hide the majority. youd be on your hands and knees to be able to see most esp if the plate is mounted like mine
  11. no weight through the corner would cause a reverse pendulem think of an arrow head. the lightness over the rear will make the car moe prone to lift off oversteer however it being rear wheel drive its less likly. but realistically any tendancy to under or over steer is detremental to lap times.
  12. i did think about that dave but i was thinking theyd find a way to balance that loss.
  13. you wanna come round here mate literally see several supercars everyday. the amount of astons porshes and r8s is sickening. and ive even seen the new lambo avendator. i regularly see a black sls two f458s sooooo many f430s im bored of them. lol honest esp on a sunny sunday its bonkers.
  14. This wont last long, you need to be a subscribed ie paid up member to sell on here.
  15. Surley the rear hatch is heavy on its own.
  16. good start and yes with that sort of budjet you will find something in pretty reasonable order. a comprehensive and full history is mandatory really for a goodun. have a look around the forum there is a buyers guide hanging around that will help you.
  17. yeah theyre anncilery belts not actually connected to the timing belt
  18. if its an import esp with a 99 spec front end you may get away with it, by checking with the dvla explaining its a grey import they may send you out a permission slip/letter to run the 3/4 plate, on the basis of it actually being a grey area of the law. ie its legal dependant on the interpretation of the law that surrounds it. theyres a guy round here with a s15 he says one of these letters after getting dragged into the police station for refusing to remove it.
  19. thing is aswel there sno real need for this one to have a timing mark as its only an artilleryman belt pulley, the timing can be designated with astock would should needs be then this place on without ever disturbing the timing belt.
  20. i dunno about vg blocks specifically but in general relying on the crank pulley marking isnt the most reliable way to designate tdc in any event. my old engine had no timing marks on the pulleys and the top pulley was a vernier type. the tdc was designated by a dial gauge.
  21. i hate orange its one of those colours that cant make its mind up. are you yellow or are you red? no your fecking orange. its also a signal of shit things break down trucks hazard lights those annoying amber lights when you can never decide if its time to go or not. most orange things in nature are bad taste wise, theres a reason for it orange is rubbish. rant over.
  22. shallow water fishing is the best, they dont half shift lol. deep water they just hold up dont they not so fun. i love summer stalking in clear water.
  23. agreed daffy i love reading about what those who can afford to spend the cash and time i cant, to do the things i cant. its like living vicariously lol.
