  1. seeings as this isnt actually a car club more of a gentlemens club, where we all convince ourselves were saine. i thought id ask the following of you all. :devil2: ive got a wedding like in two weeks.... i need to write a best man speech....trouble is i don't actually know the groom very well.....:pinch: but were here now. so anyway some tips hints useful resources would be great.
  2. dicky, i hear your a bit of an led wizz, im currently contemplating on supplementing some of my aquarium lighting with led. your fairly new so probably don't know what i get upto, but anyways light colour spectrum and par readings are paramount for me, is that something you'd be able to discuss with me? i know the leds id need are cree xtes in royal blue 10k white and 20 blue, but i dont really understand all the driver business.
  3. awesome i was thinking just the other day that the stock reversing lights are about as bright as forrest gump.
  4. I think ive got 3 lying about il check first as one has hellraiser written on it I would think. If ive still got them if you cover post ots yours :)
  5. I looked at these glad I didnt bother now. Get yourself a refund.
  6. Ecu stays, you just have to do a small amount of wiring to trick the car into starting, disabling the starter rely that stops you starting in gear on tbr auto. Its the easy bit. And the neutral switch.
  7. Mine was awful without servo assist, ruined the car. Its rayed at 500ftlb iirc, hooked the vac up.soooo much better. Gaz has some twin plate plate thingof a simular spec we will be fitting to his which is supposed to be lighter than stock. What I meant earlier if it was confusing is use the tt flywheel and vlutch and il be fine. The na one is smaller hence the problem if your going the other eay or intend to try and ise the na flywheel.
  8. The bellhousing fitment is the same but the starter is different the na has a lump and this must be filed and the started spaced to realigbn with the flywheel. So ideally you should swap the bellhousings over because I supposed you cant shim it in. however you could I guess use a tt flywheel and clutch with the na engine and tt box. Not sure. As I say really you need a tt bell housing to make life easier. Why cant you go tt
  9. obviously they locate in the position of the stock recircs, but which line do they pop into and which line is bunged? ta.
  10. not really no lol :s because if im not mistaken an rb for example is still twin turbos and those two down pipes branch into a single 3" exhaust. where as a vg that down pipe pops into a 2.5" exhaust, on either side. so each turbo has its own 2.5" exhaust section rather than 2 turbos being forced down one 3" section. maybe im confused. unless you've got fat tubs I wouldn't think youd need 3" either side to efficiently remove the output, and I cant see why in terms of output a single 3" would be better than a pair of 2.5"ones.
  11. just a thought but most of the skyline, supra all that lot are almost exclusively single exit. so actually in terms of volume and resistance its like them running a 5" system is it not?
  12. I have family round the corner in broadmayne.
  13. well stop lurking and get involved theres plenty of us around this area.
  14. Another hants z welcome on board.
  15. lovely I was looking at it thinking that looks familiar then remembered who it used to belong too. anyways theres a fair few of us over here in Bournemouth and surrounding dorset.
  16. Do as you please I mean.
  17. If youve got the money you can do nb as you lase old boy. Not figured that out yet one rule for them another for us.
  18. very fair point the amount of zeds running around with bling 18s on them and budjet tyres. more gauges than the dash has room for, but the oils not been changed in 2 years. then the tubs fall apart and theyre asking why has my engine shit the bed? because you prioritised having shite mods over having a car that ran properly to start with. that's why my body work has stayed standard cos ive spent so much money servicing everything unseen :( its boring and looks like ive done nothing but hopefully it will last.
  19. im quite interested in how the hike in boost will effect longevity? both of the engine and turbos? going onto rusty sills car producing around 400bhp, and your car being stock apart from a filter change what would you expect to be gaining from the standard mods, decat etc etc on stock tubs. its all very interesting and I suppose the only way to know how things will work out will be long term. I think most of us would welcome you to turn up to something like jae with a rolling road and really explain and show first hand what is achievable. my second question is this, if the z32 has been knocking about now for 20 odd years how comes no one else has mainstreamed the idea od running beyond 16psi, whats changed or is new to push things through (im not questioning your results or intellect btw) what are you bringing to the table that's pushing the boat forward.
  20. Tbh theres lots of stockish ones kicking about, however stock unless its ultraclean and followed by a massive list of parts and services, is ussually imo a sign of lack of maintaince. If its got quality mods it ussually is a sign of money being spent on it.
  21. Funny you should say that, I had a corsa that was crap it was newish sod all miles but the workmanship on it was crap bits literally fell off. And the fuel economy for a 1.2 was crap aswel.
  22. I got mine about your age, knocks spots off anything else, for the money.
  23. I assume thr 15 stone babies was a repeat, I watched it before cmas and yes some serious issues.
  24. Yup if its plastic type stuff, its the one I want but I want the turbo version.
  25. Those london toffs make me crack up, the real world is calling get,a grip and enjoy your wealthvand enjoy the display. If they did that round here wed be closing roads for them laying on kiosks and milking every last penny out those super rich tourists.
