  1. Bumper lip is stillen, gtz? Have a look through on z1. Rear arches are simular to the ones baz had jun racing maybe, im sure he will be along to clarify
  2. Its not listed because they were not available from nissan uk, only twin turbo lwb versions were. Its a good suggestion you got there from jaffa, and you can easy get them to check that at your work, take two seconds, make sure you check it in gear. Timing changes in neutral. Its probably not dett occurring its most likly a duff sensor or harness. If you do get a timing reduction, reset the ecu and try again with the code cleared.
  3. Yeah they have been superseeded by the fk453 simple as that.
  4. never mind the neighbours id be castrated if my mrs came home to that lol
  5. just park it up on a flat dry surface and see where it drops down, failing rad caps are common, as are overfilled or cracked expansion bottles(results in water coming out near the passenger front wheel. the two little pipes that connect the heads to the top hard pipe on the block also fail. if its a twin turbo model the water cooling for the turbos happily split causing steam at the rear of the block. try to work out roughly where in the bay its coming from and if it occurs all the time the engines on, only when hot(pressurised) or just constantly.
  6. ahhhh ok, that makes more sense :)
  7. wow stock turbos 14psi and over 400 horses nice, why did you go for the 740's may I ask?
  8. I'm almost certain the answer to that is yes, the top of the elbow is the same the bottom is the same and the o2sensor is in the same location. il go and says yes.
  9. stock turbos!?
  10. Replace as much as humanly possible, the engine is 20 years old now or more. Replace what you can when you can, otherwise you will be tearing things apart to get at things you saw 6 months ago but didn't change when it was easy. Ive got a oil tree gasket to change, I should of done it when the block was out it would have taken me 10 minutes, instead I chose not to, it leaks now im stuck lol.
  11. I assume you mean those doughnut shaped bits pressed into the floor pan at the rear, I dont use the chassis rail or sil to jack the car as ive learnt that lesson the hard way with previous cars.
  12. Anything past southampton or above bristol is north lol, and yeah it is nice when its sunny but this is england, and when the sun does eventually come out morons arrive from everywere. Lol
  13. Do you mean behind the fuel tank?
  14. When doing this where do you put the axelstands? I normally jack on the subframe, which would onbviously be useless.
  15. hrmmmm yes gold rods I think, allow you to weld mid to stainless, or cast etc(cast is a knob though as expansion needs to take place at the correct rate his requires preheating to do the job correctly) obviously it goes without saying you cannot weld aluminium to steel.
  16. at the top of the thread, "now i seen ppl have done a balancing bridge in front of the throttle body's .. i think this looks crap"
  17. pah that's not south
  18. Whats the point in pissing sbout, your spending big bucks on that build mark, deleting things or messing about with things of that type meerly for a cosmetic gain isnt worth it imo. It can be as pretty as a penny if it dont work its useless.
  19. very good tip, also go get yourself a proper sump plug bit rather than use your 1/2" stops you chewing the damn plug up so easy and allows better access to the side one. :) can get a rail of them uber cheap from halfrauds.
  20. Try changing the fluid in the box to mt90 or other high quality fluid, mine does this and ive got Castrol in atm, once warm its fine. fluid change time mate. plus the aforementioned rubber boots(common complaint)
  21. Should of given it another touch, let it spin 360° oposite lock and off you go lol. In all seriousness, if the cars auto with crap tyres its easy done.
  22. Replacement im afraid.
  23. Yeah, cops is the way forward.
  24. Yupnormally over the coilpacks and injectors or over the ptu and cas.
  25. It seems to cause electrical gremlins, and im sure I read somewhere that the engine bay is designed to allow hot air to circulate up and over, not create a hot pocket. If you stance the bonnent or make holes in it you stop that circulation.
