The pcv's are also available off him for a few quid and the hoses for them I got from sfs as they are much cheaper to go to directly as a .co.uk member rather than buy through say zcentre.

picture tells a thousand words, but id like to value mine at £3500 which I feel is very realistic compared to prices of zeds sold recently and their condition, mine is manual, but also is a series 1 and has about 80k on the clocks. So id say £3500 would be a steal if its in the condition it should be with those kind of miles.

prfffff, the worst two parts are these, getting the connections off without causing damage they are brittle as you like! secondly the water pipes under the plenum, replace your pcvs and doa water bypass while your there that will simply the refit. don't forget the buy the upper plenum gasket, and use a torque wrench to retighten the plenum, this will make sure you sit it flat and not over tighten it and strip the ali lower plenum. Oh and go buy yourself a shit tone of labels. - - - Updated - - - I think you hit the nail on the head there jeff, they don't want to do it. either that or they are covering themselves for learning time.

The wheel bearing arn't cheap so be sure that's what you need. Jack the car up wiggle the wheel and see if there's much free play. Then remove the wheel, and check the individual arms, theres quite a bit under there.

did you fit the gasket between the strut top and arch?

because, with it venting to atmosphere is not needed, the front ones normally have a reducing bung in there that reduces it to about 4mm diameter. Plus the fact if you don't extend the lines on the back you will dribble oil out going round corners too fast.

I've used a Castrol part synth 10/40w currently and under certain circumstances, i.e if I've been boosting hard and the engine is HOT some oil passes the exhaust seals and burns in the exhaust. Could my choice of oil be in part to blame, becoming too thin under high temperature's and letting by or am I just looking for an easy fix haha.

Numbers wise not a lot, real world, a manual is far more responsive, both in terms of feel and acceleration. Up the strip an auto can be quicker, but punching it down an a road its the manual everytime. The autobox is also a power drinker, me and gaz had a roll on the way back from a rolling road day, mines manual and 286bhp and his is auto and 320(I think it was) I stuck on his back end and had to break. so you can see how much you loose in responsiveness and power to the wheels. The major issue with the autobox is they are nearly always shagged, in good nick theyre alright, most like when mine was auto will suffer from masses of transfer loss when it steps down a gear, and will be very slow to react. Get yourself an manual, the auto is a nice cruiser and I wouldn't let it put you off the right car as swapping over isn't that bad, but obviously its easier to buy a manual car to start with.
