  1. Well you have one end of it lol, it's only a case of chasing the wires. Dorothy followed the yellow brick road lol....
  2. Ok well I would pull the slave personally they do jam up. Mine did but then freed up. New ones aren't crazy expensive, that and changing to a braided line could be a relatively cheap bit of upgrading/maintaince. You be able to work it loose on the bench. My clutch is uprated and so stiff without the servo assistance. However you can depress it. If yours is rock hard not moving I'd say it's more likely the slave.
  3. Is it a stock clutch? Is it a tt or na car?
  4. Your not going to want to drive that car once it's done are you mate.
  5. It could be lying on top the gearbox?
  6. ;) winner. Park on a really steep hill on a cold engine and run it up with the rad cap off watch the water level drop lol. Must be a stone cold engine though, hot engine bad idea. In fact don't do its dangerous, even if it does work lol.
  7. I would also say you trapped air. The procedure recommended and one I and many use is to jack the front of the car up as high as possible. The heater on full heat. This will allow air to rise to the front and clear the air block. It's easy done trapping that air esp in the heater matrix and rear of the heads.
  8. Lol! Get it dirty!!!!!!!!!
  9. That's a massive improvement mate. The before pics look like it had been parked next to the Mary rose. Front sub assembly next then :p
  10. Lol. 3k! it's disgusting how easy it is to burn money isn't it, it don't go far lol.
  11. Boost leaks and over heating are the main faults that are different or more pronounced.
  12. Could be this guys car... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/member.php?17753-nncferreira Think he sold it though.
  13. That looks like the one the square bit with the plastic bit goes and connects up nicely on the starter iirc pretty sure I did the exactly the same head scratching moment.
  14. The Pcv should seal by its own accord as the thread is tapered. Maybe it's slightly loose, worth a check, go gingerly it's threading into aluminium after all. You have an air leak on one of the big 4 intercooler hoses? Am I reading that right?
  15. I know where you got those nittos from Noel lol did you buy both pairs?
  16. ;) two steps ahead there mate. Gonna get either some uk rears or some steels.
  17. I know that problem lol. However I can't launch at 3k without a massive wheel spin about 1700rpm in the wet, I do need new tyres though.... Then it's time to learn lol.
  18. Not a fan of making 1st and 2nd even more useless then dave?
  19. Not for me that one.
  20. I shouldn't worry I've always got hesitations issues when I first get up as well. Maybe it's time for service Ian. Replace the vvt solenoids etc.
  21. Didn't know you had an na mate, always thought it was a tt
  22. Yeahs that's the way I did mine, two wires from the grey plug that makes the reverse switch work. Then the starter relay is shorted through in the inner wing. Which reminds me, I was going to bring this inside the cabin on a hidden switch, presto ghetto immobiliser. I had one on my old car. Simple things.
  23. Got it cheers mate :)
