Next June mate, just easier to say.

My father in law owned a 78 until about 2 years ago, I know how they drive. Pretty boring to drive, tbh they're extremely heavy and walloy. But I love them for the theatre of it all, the looks, the noise that classic leaf sprung carbed feel.

Took this photo a few weeks ago, my absolute favourite car of all time. I keep promising myself one but other things keep getting in the way.

Remember, when these came out. Stylish and modern, tinted rear lights from factory, alloys and tinted windows etc everything you wanted at 17. Now though, yuk.

My parents have a Chevy, it's horrendous. It's a rebadged old Daewoo with worse parts on it. The interior just like y old corsa look like they were recycled from plastic cups lol.

This on the other hand is gorgeous, at present. Give it ten years though and will it be gorgeous still...

No need for embarrassment. Check the block and head are square once seperated, or you will be doing it again quite quickly.

Oh I know that and as a Pontiac GTO in the US but it's still GM isn't it. I LOVE pontiacs but I'm aware of the fact theyre not very good lol. I have brought a new vauxhall as a daily before which was a heap tbh and tbh I'd never buy another. GM stuff dates quickly, look at opels and vauxhalls from 5-10 years ago, they looked great at the start but now...Chevy are the same.

Was just an example, if that standard issue vauxhall look. I tell you what it does look like, Mazda 6. I do like them honest, I just don't think they has stood the test of time. Vauxhalls never do.

Great car and I've been very tempted myself, however the early ones are so vauxhall looking it's untrue, new they looked great now they look cheap and boring... My mrs said the other day that it looks like a Chav car. I am a fan honest, but it could so easy be mistaken for a generic vectra etc. the newer ones are much more distinct and better looking. That engine and drive train are full of win though.

Ah ok. On that subject though, I think many potential z owners bypass the the z32 now. They write of off as expensive heavy dinosaur. You can buy z33s so cheaply now, if your not after big power or aware of the tunability of the vg30. Z32 are slowly rising and for a extra grand you can buy a newer car without the twin turbo headaches.

I got the nut half off and then the joint started turning. I can see the drive shaft driving me mad too as I can't lock the diff up FFS lol.

Apples and oranges there though, a z33 is a far more common, modern/reliable and cheaper to run. With the plummeting price and soaring availability of the z33 they are becoming ever popular with the younger (read free time and disposable income) owners. They are fast on their way to for filling the placement of a replacement for the 200sx's

Started stripping the new subframe today, I hate, hate, hate the lower arm ball joint.

I love the m4 its a fantastic slalom corse, dodging the pot holes at 80 is fun enough let alone 170+ lol, bloody roads.

It won't cost you much to pull your engine buddy, it's fixing it that costs. Get it out at least you have started and broken the seal.

What you need and will always need is tools. Halfords do some great sets for good money that cone with lifetime warranties. Is it an all aluminium engine?

I do notice this, it's not just a case of buying dogs either. We getting a lot of impulse members, but it drive it for a few months a year, then sell it on. The core members stay, but many new members don't stand the test of time. Look how many hands murts car has passed through of late, certainly not a dog. One thing I don't understand is the amount of non club cars floating about. Who's working on them, who's helping them etc etc. a z33 is not a car you can just drive everyday and never break..

I think you can factor in two main issues. Mobile phone access, whilst it's easy to read the forum in the go throughout the day, replying can be fussy on a phone. So many don't bother, almost a read only situation. Facebook, not only do people seem to be migrating further toward it, one of my local clubs literally has no traffic on its forum, it's all done on Facebook! I've noticed an irritating and lazy trend for people to link their latest projects to FB only, simply posting up a FB link to the pics. We don't all wish to have FB So can't view it. To address your point jeff about work life balance, there was a programme on the other day about how traditionally higher earners did less hours. The more educated you were the fewer hours you did. That seems to have turned on its head. I can't remember the last time I worked a flat 39 hours.

Where did you getter Gaz ones from bud? Are they height adjustable units?
