Not very happy at all
Where and how do my legal rights stand? I paid for a twinturbo engine supplied and fitted, not only was it fitted poorly and I had to pay zedworld to set it up correctly, but I actually didn't receive the goods I paid for.

Not very happy at all
Having been reading up on things recently I noticed that upon inspection my heads are stamped 10Y, not 40p which from my understanding are late spec NA heads...I paid a lot of money a few years back and got ripped off, now it turns out I may have been ripped off even more than I realised. Not happy and need to work out for sure either way. It looks like il be throwing this engine in the bin at this rate.

Is my block dead?
Just for referance graham could you photograph the na piston crown?

i bet Funki Si would love some of this?
You can set it up on two seperate settings, for example Say your best RPM for launch is 4k, you set that up so that the rev limit is 4k with the handbrake on. Handbrake engaged build boost(no resistance=no boost) good launch no worries over getting it just right. Handbrake off revert to full limit if your choosing say 6.5k, so under normal driving or free reving without the handbrake you have a full rev range.

Thing is with these cars, most are grey imports so the milage is open to debate, the orgial spec being a non du specifyed car is open to debate and the accuracy of the registration is often off. There's cars in this club with Nissan primera on the v5many simple Nissan sports etc, cars on 05 plates the list goes on. So prove than this supposed 1995 car is and is not a 1991 car officer/mot tester etc etc.its all debatable. The likely hood of someone say ii your old carvdoesnt hand cats and investigating wether it is supi to esp when you turn around and say the v5 is wring it wasc filled out wrong on import, seecwhere I'm going with this? Prove beyond reasonable doubt the car is legitame.

Stereo options
Just to dig this up, I appears my cd is broken anyway. Doesn't turn on and the fuse hasn't blown, il check the power supply at the rear somewhen but it's probably dead. Now I think il be popping a three gauge do dar in that position and binning the stereo. Which obviously leaves the speakers redundant, so a connection for an IPod in the glovebox with a hidden amp would allow me to play music still if I ever wanted, without the clutter of the headunit or CDs. So how would I go about this?

bov to fit or not to fit
I may well revert to your method Noel, for a few reasons really that I shan't litter the thread with. Your car makes just as many exciting noises as mine just differently.

rattling zed,
Sounds like you need to get the worms out, you left a woodpecker in the engine mark. If you get stuck let me know I have a bird trap.

Lol 7k even in first will likely result in illegal driving due to excessive amount of wheelspin.

I doubt a fireball is any hotter than the EGT in any event.

They are supposed to be so that when driving hard esp in the upper rpm as a common condition when drifting, you don't force a dangerously lean situation. You will find this version of rev limiter in many track and high end sports cars, those photos of race cars spitting flames..it can also be used for launch control a type of antilag allowing you to build spool at a preset level ready to launch. So there sent jay for fun They are generally used by people to make fireballs and noise at carshows, which is a bit gay. Spitting flames at 7k to rpmis a but different to making a public nuisance of yourself anding like a chav. I do want one but I won't be using it to delight my facebook friends or the ncDs crowd , I will be using it to giggle to myself as the road lights up behind me as I boot it out if some A road left hander.

bov to fit or not to fit
I'm hoping he's going to say stock or 99, I never like the storesk one it had personally, it's my second least favourite over the basking shark.

Yup want one, watching adl Phoenix popping out fireballs on the a34 really made me want that overly childish toy on my big red toy car lol

bov to fit or not to fit
Lol, time I see blue smoke waft out I say oh no, when I hear it hit full boost as I exit the corner followed by the bov I say oooooooh yes. Like I say it's a toy I just like having fun the bov currently is fun. My recircs are on the shelf just incase I get bored.
-
bov to fit or not to fit
They have no benifit or use, you could also blank the recirc and get the chatter noise as a few have done, read up on it first. Recircs give the best performance and that's why they are fitted stock. I do personally have a set of baileys they cost me about £50 and I have them purely for novelty. We call them the angry budgies. When I pick my mates up they all love the wahhhhhhh putush noise of my car, its childish but it is a toy, the noise makes me smile so stay they will.

Valve stem seals, blue smoke and all winter to fix it.
I hear what your saying but it's pretty embarrassing, I see the glee on people's faces as a lot of people love cars like these to be broken. I do plan to track the car and I need to put off spending lots of money with jimmer for a while yet now. I totted up the parts, includinging a new OEM timing belt was like £80, few hours of my time I might aswel just do them for peace if mind. I want to redo my valve covers and reroute the Pcv lines anyway so that's half the prep work done in any event.
