  1. Yup it's the wrong item, fitted badly and most importantly it would if had to have been a conscious choice to MAkE it fit.
  2. Lol I know, funny you say that I've actually been reading up on the legal side of it, as I intend to take legal action :)
  3. Haha, I eat heavy for breakfast. In all seriousness though the best way to discuss anything like this is as a joke, failing to past behind you and embracing history as history is what causes a lot of wrong in the world. Don't worry though, when I'm Grand Emperor of the World, scrub that Grand Emperor of the Solar System il sort these things out.
  4. I think you will find that Scotland and England were joined as united kingdoms by inheritance, a scots king inherited the English throne. Equally I find it amusing about them not feeling included when the former PM was Scottish.
  5. I was listening this morning to the radio and they were saying about how you can be a proud scot and be part of the UK, Scotland has a rich history with England beyond simply the invasion and occupation which let's not forget is more to do with the occupation of England itself, it's only been a country in it's own right for about 1500 years, before that it was tribal counties as such.
  6. Very good point, I forgot about the tirade of abuse you get for being English there as well lol. Why didn't the welsh flag get incoperated? It is all a bit silly, it's hard enough for the UK not to be swallowed by the universal united "Europe"
  7. Drivers side front arch underside? Blue one is starter relay, don't remember a white one.
  8. As far as I'm aware it's not supposed to hold pressure, it's not a leak down test it's a test if it's ability to hold air at a set passage. You need a good compressor and apply 5psi of air to be passing through the system air will be being lost through the combustion chambers during the process as well. If you can hear a leak but not pinpoint it then get some soapy water and a brush and apply it to the area carefully, the bubbles will pinpoint the issue extremly accurately.
  9. Don't forget the PCV is basically a check valve(non return) it's primary function is to close when positive pressure is applied to the plenum to stop you pressurising the crank case/heads galleries etc on boost. The PCV system, Off boost it's scavenging blow by gasses and on boost it's venting it into the acordion pipe. The main issues with PCVs is them sticking open or closed which allows them to do the wrong thing at the wrong time.
  10. Pop the turbo elbow off and check in the exhaust housing for oil, mine did this. The pool collected and on idle the flow wasn't sufficent to push it out the turbo, once the revs built up it would start to evaporate and blow out under the increased exhaust flow.
  11. (This is a serious comment or questioning, it's supposed to be a bit if stupidity) So if Scotland vote for independence that will leave the United Kingdom as England and Wales, obviously part of Ireland as well is that still controversial as well? So basically are the only countries in the UK that want to be part if it England and Wales? Only 20 people live in Wales, I've been there, some cities but mostly mountains. So are we on the verge of being the United Kingdom of one? Will we have to revert to being just plain English? That could be interesting seeing as it's public opinion that the St Geogres Flag is the EDL logo. Also considering I'm about 40% Scottish can I get dual nationality and rack up the points on my Scotish liecense, just like the toffs from the Channel Islands.
  12. Maybe this will help http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/6901.html
  13. Yeah I got a borescope in there and they are clearly (the ones not coked in oil) labeled 30p, the turbo obes are clearly labeled 30p1. There is also a visible step in the piston crown on the NA, the tt it's like a saucer. The heads are labeled 10y which is the later version of the na head labeled 30p as apposed to the tt head which is 40p or 48p. The car detonated quite badly with the stock 1.1gap at 9psi, I had to close this down to 0.8 to stop it detonating, then the tubs would smoke at idle. All a bit of a pisser really.
  14. Can't hurt to enquire I guess, time is my majour obsticle Just spoke to trading standards, turns out I've got a case. You have a six year window to take legal action.
  15. Exactly that, it's also a late spec NA with the 10y heads. Was probably a very nice NA before I put boost through it for 4 years and blew it up.
  16. Take a picture of what's cracked, the intercooler pipes don't steam, them only contain engine gasses.
  17. I was planning on coming to this this year but other plans have taken over, some dog show thing I promised madam I'd take her to. Need her in the good books after this weeks discovery.
  18. Certainly is mate and when your stamping on the brakes or trying to rescue things when sideways it's the fronts that are king.
  19. Technically a fairlady not a fairladyZ, no? Never seen one, one was for sale a while ago over here, cool looking little beastie, reminds me of a hillman or something.
  20. These are what I have, even cheaper than I paid wet grip is the same as dunlops, which are twice the price. http://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s66p122765/Achilles_Tyres_Car_Achilles_ATR_Sport_-_265_35_R18_97W_XL_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_E_Wet_Grip%3A_C_NoiseClass%3A_2_Noise%3A_73dB
  21. Up front, where the braking and steering is done. http://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s322p102378/Michelin_Tyres_Car_Michelin_Pilot_Sport_3_PS3_-_235_40_R18_%2895Y%29_XL_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_E_Wet_Grip%3A_A_NoiseClass%3A_2_Noise%3A_71dB Plenty of other choices but hell you, these are the tyres you need the grip I all weather all the time.
  22. Exactly that, part worms arnt even that cheap, when you consider they are half done at best.
