  1. I’ve been pootling about recently just making sure I’m happy with everything. The other night I took it out properly though with the wife, not taking the nick because, well, obvious reasons but also because it angers madam. it’s a fine line between my own personal amusement at her disapproving face and getting told off... anyway. Car performed well for about an hour on and off. I know it’s tunning rich on boost currently, in the low 11s for AFR. With both of us there’s some rubbing in the rear when your going round reverse camber round abouts, that’s a minor issue for winter though. More grip required up front but the back on dry roads and warm tyres is holding grip though second gear very well.
  2. I think Gaz meant it is a rare body kit and I think half the members have bodykits is probably an exaggeration.
  3. I think I recognise that car.
  4. Yeah a few friends had them when we were younger. Compared to what we all had they were quite quick. Enjoy.
  5. Oh it’s the Indian version the MG ZR... there’s actually quite a good little chassis arent they? Engine being the (head gasket) let down. Stripped out that’s going to weight nothing, perfect little track toy.
  6. Fuses. Always start with the fuses.
  7. Interested in your rear over fenders.
  8. I suspect the pivot ball is damaged or the fork is bent/misaligned. You won’t need a new clutch plate in that scenario.
  9. I’d have had a crack at doing it that way myself. However that route is horrendous especially at peak times, it’s mostly A road dual carriageway with a round about every half a mile and long ques to each. Stop start. From mine that journey takes between 2.5 hours and 4 on average depending on traffic. It’s in my opinion the worse journey on the south coast.
  10. Personally I’d find some small orange SMDs and put them behind the grill. They will be virtually invisible when not on and when blinking super bright.
  11. Can you not nick a bit of fluid out the brake resivoir temporary to get you to Halfords?
  12. One of the other clubs I belong to you have to purchase something from the club shop or make a charity donation, to a chosen club charity. It’s only a one off thing and it seems to work well.
  13. I think you will find a dedicated thread quite rewarding Pete. Sometimes your talking to yourself but it’s great to flick back and see where you’ve moved forward etc.
  14. As long as it to moderate yourself! I’d offer to help but A I do t have the time and B I don’t think I have any useful skills.
  15. Not stock housing. The rear is a 5 bolt and the front mounting is wrong, which is why it needs the adapter. God knows what’s there but they look like they have made their own version of a t28 hybrid.
  16. I think part of the issue when compared to other car clubs is it’s run by volunteers, it’s not a buisness. Compare it to say the Capri club that has a HQ, breakers etc etc. We’re just not on that level.
  17. Simply Japanese is normally a pretty huge convoy from Tesco to the grounds.
  18. I am not, repeat not, taking my engine out for the forth time to get a bloody badge!
  19. Mine had that fault the ECU sensor connection was faulty and it would flood on hot start.
  20. Turns over, smells of fuel, doesn’t catch. I’d be looking at wether there is a spark first off.
  21. Remember I’m not asking for answers I don’t have. I’m expanding the point. How many shows do we have each year? Are these exclusive to members, full or part. Help and advice. It’s an open forum, so not only do you not need to be a full member to get that you can read all this without any membership. Also that doesn’t make it more of a club that is the forum. There’s no exclusive access to parts, no discounts (aside from insurance) no group buys anymore, no news letter, no Callander. Maybe we need higher memberships prices but you get something in return for that investment... at present all I can see being a full member gets you is PMs and the ability to sell.
  22. To play devils advocate Gary, what exactly does the club offer to make it more than just a forum? There’s a real lack of activity of late. Yeah there’s some high end OEM+ builds but not many. I can think of several active members who have disappeared of late. There’s lots of young single blokes with money in the car scene, they aren’t here though, they are spending small fortunes on Hondas and VWs, the Z32 doesn’t attract these people nor does it attract the wealthy collectors.
  23. That’s some dark craic.
