  1. Obviously it’s your car and you do as you please but I think you will have more joy at a lower compression ratio. In fact stick to the stock TT ratio. Don’t forget I’ve had a TT’d NA albiet on a stock map it detonated even in safety boost like a bag of crisps and lasted about 10 pulls before it blew the ring lands.
  2. Re zinc coat the bolts. Easy enough to do, just a bit time consuming. What’s the reasoning behind the high compression build? Are you not worried that on standard pump fuels it’s going to be vulnerable to detonation?
  3. What compression ratio will you have Ali? NA manual cams are the same as TT manual btw, the only ones that a different is the TT auto.
  4. Evening guys. I’ve got a squeal on the belts, even tight, probably worn out or oil contamination. Where’s the best place to source? I’ve got an underdrive bottom pulley but standard pulleys on the others.
  5. The 350z uses a higher profile, giving a larger rolling radius.
  6. A good shop will just cut of the back boxes and weld on new, simple job really.
  7. Stuff like this makes me sad. I don’t like people getting poor service and I really feel for you. Obviously we are only getting your side, I have no reason to doubt your side, if you feel you have a strong case of a misrepresented sale etc then I’d really encourage you to persue it legally.
  8. Seen two this week. One red, one silver. Very striking.
  9. I believe the 5psi thing has its origins in the FSM. Whilst I appreciate what your saying Jeff and common sense is a factor we must remember that someone could read this via the search function, take it as red and throw 60 PSI at it because well, you said it was “ok”. You didn’t but it could be read that way. A reasonable leak can be found by throwing 5psi in, its what’s recommended in the manual and is the safe advice to give those not in the know. Don’t you think?
  10. Well I didn’t vote for it...
  11. Maybe they will reverse it, probably not though. At least it cuts down on the nuisance calls. I told one the other day he was in violation of blah blah, got rid of him quick enough. From what I understand even the top dogs are bit confused about exactly it’s applied and what’s exempt.
  12. European Union Regulation 2016/679.
  13. Well there’s two times this happens quite often. Ones cleaner than the other  So when you have a hangover, you think, oh god why did I, say, do, that etc. That’s your moment of clarity, when you see through the moment. The other and much more effective, oh how to say this. When you’ve been spending time with miss Palmer and her five daughters, you do you thing and suddenly think wtf am I watching! That is a moment of clarity.
  14. What your having is a moment of clarity. Use it.
  15. Don’t own a PC, who does, aren’t they like a Land Line? I don’t use my phone calendar, in fact I like my phone to beep at me never, I’m in charge  I hate watches as well. We only have a calendar cos the Mrs likes them.
  16. Because half my possessions have been in storage for the last few weeks. The calendar wasn’t exactly a priority. ;)
  17. I don’t actually see what’s funny?
  18. Having checked the calendar. This clashes with another commitment (Wye Weekender) with the Barbel club, which I’ve already booked. Sorry chaps.
  19. You’ve earned it Pete, keep on enjoying it. Good on you.
  20. Drove it home after it being in hiding for three weeks to the new house! Thank god.
  21. Looks like a case of zmallpox is in full scale now then.
  22. First thing you can do is clean and check the connections. ECU temp, CAS, PTU, idle control, TPS etc etc. Do a boost leak test. Check timing and fuel pressure. Check the TPS and set the base idle. Check the MAF. Lots to check and a real good afternoon of knobbing about. Alternatively you could book yourself in with Jimmer for a health check... http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/922678/The-6-Ps-Proper-Preparation-Prevents-Piss-Poor-Performancegt.html
  23. If I had more time I’d say bring it over but I don’t at the moment. Do you own s multimeter? - - - Updated - - - Yeah, that’s not right.
