  1. I share your pain mate genuinely. I too have flirted with the idea if an engine swap, it's still not off the table but I just can't see a way to make it a sensible option financially. It's ik for the yanks with a plethora of used v8s floating around but we just don't have them in quantity over here, subsequently price is higher. It appears to be shame shit different day, still struggling for parts that are cheaper across the pond and and engine which unless you pay big for a newer version will land you in roughly the same place as a stock TT.
  2. No no, you have from memory 1,2,D and an overdrive button right? Firstly deselect overdrive that makes it instantly more fun then youbcsn also put it in 2 rather than aswel and that makes things fun. Goug manual is even better. The power and hold buttons never seemed Ttp do much for me.
  3. Lock it down into second and feel the grin :)
  4. Amoungst other irritations, worth checking those pesky blighters all day long.
  5. Vented nose plus bumper extension together or both removed otherwise one or the other looks out of place. My opinion keep the vented.
  6. Alex has two identicle zee 's One in silver one in green The only difference between the two of these Ones twin turbo the others a breeze  my mind is great
  7. I was wondering why you had problems until you said that, I don't have aircon it's all stripped out took me about half hour to remove my recircs.
  8. Are there never opportunities to get a few runs in on a quiet time? Like a weekday etc?
  9. To tig weld what mate? It would be a damn site easier if I had access to an AC tig welder
  10. That rather depends on wether the last person to knob about in there put them on the right way round. I hated doing all those clips up with them orentated in such a way you couldn't get to them, so planning goes along way doesn't it. But yeah that whole area is tight esp the drivers side.
  11. I can sympathise with that, changing the strut takes minutes stripping half the boot out is a pain in the ass.
  12. Am I the only one who rather vulturaly wants to see the damage :wack:
  13. My least favourite thing to do everytime is jack the thing up to begin with, it's such a long winded affair. The worst thing I've done is change the oil filter tree in situee, that was great fun.
  14. Have you priced up the Racelogic yet dan?
  15. Ahhhh yes .au didn't spot that earlier.
  16. I now REALLY like it. With the spoiler bonnet etc gone it doesn't look so high off the floor either, optical illusion I know. Like si said some nice simple side skirts and it will tie the lot together and look superb.
  17. Still quite a lot, but this was where I found that price; http://www.uniqueautosports.com.au/Parts-Shop/tdm-front-mount-intercooler-kit-435.aspx
  18. That tdm intercooler is like $2500!
  19. Duel intake, not selin if that's possible. Plus I'm quite torn on wether to utilise some 500cc jecs out a scooby now or later.
  20. If I go this way this winter I take it it won't even run right, would it be best to trailer the car to you or to have you burn a starting point onto an ecu then drive it to you? I'm guessing the former is far safer.
  21. Wow a run of bad luck ey. The important thing is your ok, shame a very rare zed has been wrecked in the process though.
  22. Yeah they would just do a visual inspection from the exterior. The sills tend to rot from the inside out though.
  23. I think that's hideous.
  24. Sorry I was referring to Josh's comment.
