  1. This is going to look the absolute business!!
  2. Why hasn't the said 'mod' posted a response? Fair play to Silverline for mentioning no names, but surely it deserves a response? Are we to believe he has no idea of this thread?
  3. It was indeed for the fogs mate. Assume the switch is still there? I used it with the led fog conversion but think that has since been sold? Good luck for tomorrow pal.
  4. Have a look here bud. Seems like you want to list it as a classified with 'best offer' option. http://sellercentre.ebay.co.uk/introduction-ebay-fees
  5. If only mate. Bought a house that transpires is as rotten as a rusty Zed. One thing after another!! Glad Nick has the car now, he can give it the love it deserves. And I know he'll make it the car it always should of been. Manual ftw!!
  6. Great news bud. Can't wait to see what you do to it. Still miss the car on a daily basis. Glad it's in safe hands :thumbup1: - - - Updated - - - And 3/4 the size lol

  8. Cheers bud. Wish you guys were closer. It'd be nice to know that people that take pride in their work were looking after it.
  9. Haven't there been a few incidents of 458's bursting into flames??
  10. I've told Hannah to make sure I'm there when they drop the car back. I wanted to send the car up to Bodymech, but she didn't realise she'd authorised the work earlier when they called her. To be fair, she just wants it back, and having a Hyundai i20 courtesy car isn't helping. Like Richard said it should be like for like! They weren't going to touch the front bumper until I spoke to the assessor.
  11. The assessor called today. The car will have a new boot(and badges),bumper and diffuser at the rear. Apparently Ford bumpers come pre painted? And the front bumper will be repaired and painted, and a new grill at the front. The rear slam panel requires a 'very slight' repair according to him. Are we within our rights to ask for the car to be four wheel aligned due to impact at the rear and the force it hit the high kerb at the front? Also I'm worried about the paint match. Existing paint, pre painted rear bumper and repainted boot and front bumper is a bit of a miss mash! Colour is Ford panther black. Thanks for all the constructive replies and the support. Appreciate it guys :thumbup1:
  12. Great video. Awesome job, car, and editing skills too :cool2:
  13. :yinyang: should hear back tomorrow as they didn't take the car until late on Friday.
  14. I never said it drove funny before it was hit!! Hannah drove it a short way after it was hit and said something didn't feel right. She drove it home to ours, and back to work the following morning. We only live a mile from where she works. Take the time to read posts properly.
  15. Is it possible to demand new body parts or will this be done as a matter of course? We don't want a repaired boot/bumper/diffuser etc as that is not pre accident condition. And as they have been told something doesn't feel right at the rear will they put it on a jig to check alignment? Hannah said the car felt 'funny' when she drove it the short journey home and then into work the following morning.
  16. You still suffering Dave? Feel your pain bud!
  17. Welcome. Love the username! :cool3:
  18. They are ideal as the speaker for a hands free in car system.
  19. Sorted........ http://lifehacker.com/5993600/replace-your-cars-cassette-player-with-a-built-in-hidden-mp3-player
  20. Is it true we can choose where it gets repaired? Would the insurance cover the transport costs up to yours? Think it's been taken to a bodyshop in Basingstoke called Solus. Know you guys would look after it :thumbup1:
  21. I can't believe how well they hold their value. 7.5k was an approximation. Haven't studied prices too closely as we weren't thinking of selling. I'm told our next car will be a 'family' car. So of course I suggested a LWB Zed :sneaky2:
  22. Agreed Dan. Only want a replacement car of equal value and condition. It does grate me though that he drove off thinking he had got away with it. Out of order bud, and I will not change my mind on that.
  23. I/we are not after anything more than what we are owed. I.e. An immaculate 09 plate Fiesta zetecS worth circa 7.5k. That car to my missus is like your Zeds' to you. She loves it, and worked and saved hard to buy it outright. He has been reported to the Police, and rightly so. Anyone that thinks differently is the same type of guy as the driver. The trouble is the car is now 'tainted' if you get what I mean. Even if it is repaired to pre accident condition. Really feel for her and like I said earlier it's not so much the accident, it is the subsequent behaviour of the guilty party.
