Insurance Question. NZR.
It's a marquee company. They use the restaurant/bar at the hotel where Hannah is a manager regularly. I'm pretty sure the driver lives just up the road. Phoned the insurance company and they need the registration. Hannah is calling the boss now. I've told her to take notes of all the conversations she has. I've got a feeling they might play up as the guy driving called last night asking not to go through the insurance. He's probably stupid enough to think it'll only cost a few hundred pounds to put right! I am getting more and more wound up as the day goes on

Insurance Question. NZR.
Been out and had a quick look earlier. Boot is caved in, rear bumper is heavily damaged and the 'diffuser' has a gouge out of it. Base of the front bumper/splitter is all scraped, looks like there might be a slight crease in the front wing. This is just taking a quick glance as we were both of to work. I am so annoyed. More at the fact that somebody could knowingly do this and try and ' blag it' because he didn't think anyone had seen it. Accidents happen, but what is up with some people?! Just glad we have the CCTV evidence.

Insurance Question. NZR.
It only happened a couple of hours ago. The police have asked for the video evidence and said they will charge him. Going to take the car to Ford tomorrow for an appraisal. Told my girlfriend to call her insurance company in the morning. Not sure if it'll be a write off? The car was parked but moved a good couple of feet. Looks like the van was trying to park in the space her car was in, reversing quite quickly and didn't apply his brakes at all until after he hit it. Car was parked nose facing a kerb and the front bumper mounted and scraped it. Boot obviously has a huge dent in. Thanks for your response bud.

Insurance Question. NZR.
Evening guys. Cut a long story short, someone in a transit van has reversed into my girlfriend's parked car. They were either drunk or didn't check their mirrors as they shunted it a good couple of feet. We have the evidence on CCTV. They were in a sign written van and contact has been made. The driver has admitted it and says he 'thought I could blag it and get away with it as no one saw me'. As you can imagine I am fookin' fuming!! I have told my missus to go to the police with the video and to go through the correct insurance procedure. My question is with regards to the insurance claim devaluing her car. It is an immaculate 09 plate Fiesta zetecS with low miles and FFSH. Current values are circa 7.5k but cat d ones are 4.5/5k. Is it possible to chase his insurance for the diminished value?? Thanks for any advice.

Replacing VIN plates - anyone done this?
That still doesn't answer my question bud. So you didn't use blackboard paint and a 6" shed and fence brush?? I wasn't having a dig Si, I was genuinely trying to work out why your car was going back for paint. And as I said, thought a new VIN would be the icing on the cake if you were indeed getting the 'bay painted.

Slightly off topic. Are you getting your engine bay painted?? I know it's going back to the paint shop Si and I've been thinking "what could need sorting?". The condition of that VIN plate would worry me a lot less than a hand painted engine bay on such a meticulously painted exterior. :detective: But a freshly painted bay would be offset perfectly by a nice new VIN!

Revert it back Si. Wider, meaner, more aggressive looking IMO. Can I ask what paintwork you are having remedied?- Trentham Gardens Classic Car Show
That grey Zed is the one that KGF were selling for £3995 a while back. There is a thread on here about it. It was on ebay again at £4895 as the guy had done several bits to it since buying it from KGF, inc new windscreen, PDR and a full paint correction detail amongst other things. He told me he was taking it to the show to see if he could attract a buyer and it appears he was successful.- meet the fleet
Fantastic house Derek, and a great collection of cars. Fair play to you :thumbup1:- The World Cup Thread
Chile for me, both in the sweepstake and as a good outside bet :) Had no interest really but just been sat in the sun thinking of the 4-1 win against the Dutch, and the 5-1 win against the Germans. Dare we dream??- Long Night

Great choice of colour. Looks like its in safe hands too. Nice one - 99 spec or Twinz poll
99 spec with a lip would look great on your shorty :thumbup1:- Where to buy battery?
Got an email from eurocarparts earlier with 50% off batteries. You'll need to check if it's the correct on for the Zed though. Worth a look. Edit: just looked up 068 as mentioned above http://www.eurocarparts.com/068-car-batteries Seems a good price for a Bosch with 4 year guarantee?- New Zed Swb TT
That's a really nice Zed you've bought. Enjoy it bud.- My 1st 300ZX - and lovin' it!
