Insurance Question. NZR.
Need your opinions guys. Am I being too fussy? Got the car back today and I'm less than impressed with the alignment of the bumpers. Rear is tight to the light cluster one side and 5/6mm lower the other. Where the front bumper meets the wing the gap goes from 0 to 6/7mm over its length. As I explained to Hannah (as she's now really upset for not noticing it) that 95% of people wouldn't care or notice. But if I was looking at it as a potential buyer (we aren't selling it for the foreseeable future) then it would lead me to ask if it's been in an accident. The trouble is, the guys at the bodyshop are going to be getting pissed off so worry how they'll treat the car if it goes back. Why can't people just do their job properly FFS!!!! Am I too fussy, should I let it slide? What would you do? Daffy.

Front grill styling discussion.
Great idea, will look awesome. But will it offer significant protection to what's behind?

Front parking mast.
I have one of these somewhere from when I smoothed my bumper. I kind of regretted it after due to its rare JDM goodness. Obviously it would only be of any use to someone that has the option fitted already. Perhaps they have a mast that doesn't work or have always wondered what that button was for in the cab, but have had a bumper replacement/smooth. How rare are these and is there any value in it? Basically, is it worth me trying to find it lol

bose door enclosures
As per title. In good good condition. Can take a pic if any interest. £25.00 plus P&P. To clear up any confusion, these are the enclosures for sale. Not the speakers themselves. Thanks.

Subs ran out!!
I know bud, but I think I'm better off waiting until I can afford a well sorted one. I know only too well how much they cost to get where I want them. There have been a few that I've nearly bit the bullet on but couldn't quite justify. I still enjoy browsing the forum either way :cool3:

Subs ran out!!
So I resubscribed lol :smartass: Still don't think there will be a chance of me getting a Zed in the next 12 months but you never know what's around the corner. Who needs a safely wired house, non leaking roof or new kitchen anyway??? Daffy.

Just saying goodbye
Be sorry to see you go. Your posts are both knowledgable and informative. Forum will be worse off for you leaving. I understand your reasons though. I too would feel the same.

Insurance Question. NZR.
UPDATE: Was supposed to get a call back last Wednesday and have the car back last Friday. Got a call this Tuesday saying it will be delivered back to us on Wednesday. Called to check the driver was bringing a copy of the 4 wheel alignment, was told it's not having one. I suggested he check the video so he could see the impact with which the fronts hit the kerb. 30 minutes later an alignment has been done, it did need tracking (and a new wheel). This means the car will be back today. Car is dropped off and there is a big patch missing from one of the side skirts. There admittedly was a slight chip that had been touched in but someone at the repair centre seems to have got a bit heavy handed with a high power jet wash!! They took photos and said they'll get back to Hannah. They are are now on their way to pick it up again!!! This is ridiculous, they can't have missed it as it's the first thing Hannah saw! Service has been shocking. They weren't going to repair the front until I called them, they weren't going to do an alignment until I called them, they were supposed to call back and never did, then they drop the car back having damaged another area themselves, and it would of been misaligned with a buckled wheel!! We're moving closer to Bodymech!

This is from the .Gov website. If your vehicle fails the test You’ll get a ‘notification of failure’ from the test centre if your vehicle fails the test. The failure will be recorded in the secure central MOT database. You can still drive your vehicle if it fails the test and its existing MOT certificate is still valid (ie you got it tested before the expiry date). However, you might be stopped by police and prosecuted if your vehicle is unroadworthy. If the vehicle fails the test and the certificate has expired, you can only drive it to: a pre-arranged appointment at a garage to have the repairs done a pre-arranged MOT test appointment Your vehicle should be retested at the same test centre which did the original test. So you can drive it to a "a pre-arranged appointment at a garage to have the repairs done" Print this and take it with you https://www.gov.uk/getting-an-mot/after-the-test Daffy

£700.00 for something that is going to need doing again/doing properly by someone else after is a definite no no then. Guess you need the experts (Bodymech) to take a look and give you some expert advice. Hope you can get it sorted mate. Whatever you do, don't give up though.

Gutted for you pal. How much do they want to fix it up to an mot pass standard? I'm assuming all that rot was hidden by the side skirts?
