engine hunting for revs when throttle open at a solid steady position
Right unplugged the MAF and the car hunted for revs at the offset then died so I'm guessing it's not that. Checked for vacuum leaks where I could and couldn't really see or hear anything that stood out.

Blowers not working
Ok. Checked the air con fuse and relay under the bonnet. Fuse is fine and tried what you said with the headlight relay and that was fine. Are there any fuses under the dash for the blowers? My fuse box cover under the dash is in Japanese so have no idea what they are for.

Front Light opinions
I would have said 100% black until I seen those on that black zed. They don't look as bad on black as they do on other colours.

engine hunting for revs when throttle open at a solid steady position
Not yet. That's a job for hopefully Monday or Tuesday night but it was kinda doing this before, the symptoms just seem to have worsened.

Had the worst day in my zedding history
Holy crap mate. I really feel for you. That's my worst nightmare. At least you eventually got back and saved on the money that the RAC were going to charge. Peter

engine hunting for revs when throttle open at a solid steady position
As mentioned in an earlier thread, I'm Mechanically Retarded so apologies for the following questions that may seem stupid to someone with more knowledge. Where would a likely place for a vaccum leak be on a Zed? Where is the MAF located? What does it look like? Also, does thew Zed have an Idle Air Control Valve out of intereast?

Forgot to mention it's an N/A Auto.

engine hunting for revs when throttle open at a solid steady position
Hi All, Well, i got the idle issue sorted. one side of the engine had no screw adjuster ting in so the engine was opening one bank before the other. Also, somone had adjusted the throttle cable to keep the revs higher so the end was slightly off the rest ledge. Having sorted this, the engine is now hunting for revs when the throttle is at a steady position? ie: throttle held at 2000rpm car hunts between 1500rpm and 2000rpm. Any ideas? It used to do this slightly (very slightly) but not as noticable as it is now that i've had the idle revs sorted. I get the feeling that whoever had the car before me has messed around with the car somewhat trying to soprt problems (or to adjust settings so that problems weren't as evident instead of fixing the issues) Peter

Monumental cock-up, hugely pissed off - I might miss Coventry!! :(
Thats a real shame mate. Point is though, non of this is your fault. Surely the bodyshop can't shift yours out? Can they not just mask up the windscreen "hole" from the apeture to polish and stuff so that at least it's ready to just pop the screen back in? Peter

Ok Guys, The idea is to post Funny Pics up. No replys, Just the pics. This is all in good humour so please don't take offence at any of the images that are uploaded I'll start it off with this one. Peter- A huge THANKS to everyone on the forum.
HI All, Since i got my Yellow Zed (N/A Auto) a few weeks ago i have been riddled with problem after problem, - Wheel almost falling off due to 3 of 5 studs shearing - Car not changing gear until it reaches 3500rpm (and jerking into second) - Idliing at 1500rpm in park and just under 1000rpm in gear - Blowers not working at all - rumble under the car between around 45mph and 60mph (not wheel balance) - Using waaay to much fuel (£40 is getting me roughly 80 miles) Firstly, i'd like to make this point: "I am Mechanically retarded" I love these cars........love driving them.........love the look..........and although i can do bits of bodywork, custom installs (like the Ipad i built into my white Zed), I have almost no mechanical knowledge. I am usually afraid to try things myself for the fear of making it worse (has happened in the past) and as the car is my daily driver now to get to work and back, if i fudge something up, i'm stranded. Although the only issue i have solved so far is the wheel stud issue, I would like to publically thank everyone who has offered help and advice. Lexx, Ted, JeffTT Funky si and everyone else who has input into my "help needed" threads. Thank you all for being patient with me as i know it's sometimes hard to dumb things down to my level when you are as advanced as some of you guys are. The step by step guides that Jeff, Alex and Ted have sent me are a great starting point. Even though i will most likely get a mechanic to do any repairs, they do not know these cars the way you all do and the help and guides offered on here will be a big help even for them to get the job done right. Peter- Finally getting painted
Looking good mate. May be the same yellow that mine has been redone in at some point. Peter- Newb - Drooling over z32s
Welcome to the forum. I use my Zed as a daily driver so I opt for the N/A version. Just got mine 2 weeks ago. Body and underneath is sound but it's developed mechanical issues. I travelled to Luton for mine 500-600 mile round trip and thought I'd been really lucky. I already have spent £200 getting the wheel issues sorted and guess it will take a lot more before the car is running right. Make sure you factor these costs in when deciding on a car. Peter- DIY foglight tinting.
Cool. Could be another job for the weekend. ;)- DIY foglight tinting.
I really want to do this with mine now. They will look so much better like that with my '99 spec indicatiors. How do you get them out of the bumper again? Is it from the screws at the front or go in throught the indicator hole? - The Amusing Imagery Topic
