  1. Happy birthday mate.
  2. I feel for you mate. There's nothing worse than a theiving chava scumbag!!! I hope they find out who took her bike, then tell you so you can go punch his face in. Peter.
  3. It's all very well saying that it could, theoretically, be worth that price. And to the most part, i agree with you. If the car was in "as new" condition it should be worth that price Problem is........Would YOU pay that price?!? I sure wouldn't and i don't think a great many other people would either. Unfortunately, what it's worth is what people are prepared to pay. There was a 3rd gen 1982 Trans Am for sale at a garage in Sunderland i think that only had delivery miles on it. That was up for sale for an inflated price for ages. Essentially it was a new car. Peter
  4. Happy birthday mate. Peter
  5. Great looking car mate. You could just vinyl wrap the rear strip black for now. Peter
  6. That looks the bees knees Baz. Love those wheels. They look awesome.
  7. Happy Birthday mate. Hope you had a good one. Peter
  8. As the title suggests....... Mine is cracked in 2 places and has been since i bought the car. I was going to leave it for now but it's starting to get on my tits a little bit. Anyone got one they aren't using? Cheers Peter
  9. At least the shape has gone back to looking "Subaru-ish". Their last effort looked like a Vauxhall Astra. Peter
  10. Is that Anna  (AKA Angle.......supposed to be Angel maybe?) Happy Birthday Anna. Peter
  11. That was my next idea. Just wondered though as it changes up without the accelerator pressed using engine speed? Would it still do this if it was the filter?
  12. Right, checked the TPS voltage and all seems well. Goes from the 0.45 up to 3.83 at the fully open position. Any ideas?
  13. I'd more than likely go. Maybe Make a weekend of and stay overnight. Peter
  14. I'd also say go '99 spec. They do look much better. The orange indicator lenses look very '70's escort. I have the stock lights on mine but these will be the first/maybe only cosmetic change when I have some cash. Peter
  15. I'm not sure what the full range is but I know it does move. I'll check again on Wednesday just to be sure. Seems strange though that it always chooses 3500rpm for each gear.

  17. Yeah, I've tried the switch. It's set in the middle. Push it to power and it holds for even longer. I'd thought that about the TPS being faulty but the voltage changes when the throttle is opened. Could it still be faulty? Peter
  18. Hi all, I'm trying to sort several issues on my car at once and the gearbox is still holding onto the gears for too long. Here's where I'm at at the minute. I've now sorted the idle out so it's idling at the correct rpm. I've again reset the TPS with the help of JeffTT's guide so that is now set at 0.46. The car is still holding into every gear until 3500 rpm when under acceleration regardless of speed or amount of acceleration. If I take my foot off the accelerator for a few seconds then the car will change up to the appropriate gear. When I first set the TPS it was originally sitting at 1. I set it to 0.46. I then had the idle sorted (the cable was slightly tight and holding the throttle just off the rest peg and I was missing a nut from the throttle on passenger bank meaning the drivers side was opening up at a different level to the other bank) I then drive it for the weekend and the TPS was at 0.34 yesterday after the alteration. Reset it again to the correct 0.46. Weird thing is that no matter where the TPS was set (0.34, 0.46 or 1) the car was always changing up at 3500rpm under acceleration. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
  19. Looks like you might be right Jeff. Checked the fuse and it's only getting half a volt when the pod is switched on.
  20. Apparently the blower has a fan amplifier control circuit thing for the auto air con. This could be what's malfunctioning as the voltage to the fan motor does not change except from off to on. No change on fan blower voltage from off to low to high. Anyone know where this is so it can be checked?
  21. Nope, any help appreciated. Done that and no difference. Also checked the air con codes using the self diagnostic thing by holding OFF and AUTO and there are no sensor type faults detected
  22. The fan plug when undone from the motor is getting 0.5v so don't think it will be the fuse.
