  1. I would say at least £50. £100 at least if its in good nick. Wouldn't drive it if you paid me though:pinch: LOL
  2. I concurr - good suggestions here 1) Intergrale 2) Stratos 3) Quattro 4) Manta 5) RS200 6) Alfa SZ (nice one) 7) Scirocco (old one) Anymore non-rally inspired nominations?
  3. Yes mate, Stick up a list - I'm always looking for unusual models. Also, what prices are you looking for? Got about 20 of em myself, best one is a Gulf liveried Porsche 917 short tail! Pics would be handy:whistling: Cheers
  4. Webber really deserves it. With the bias in the Redbull camp firmly swung towards Vettel. it might be his last chance too. I know he's an Aussie, but struth mate, he's a top bloke! Very affable. Alonso, though unpopular (especially in the UK) has actually done a great job this season and deserves some credit. Mid season he was lagging well behind, but like a true champ he's chipped away and finished consistently when others fell by the way side (thats means you Hamilton). If he wasn't such a wingeing Spanish toss, you'd actually admire his achievement.. Vettel on the other hand is definitely a future champ. Its only a matter of time befor he takes a championship - but I hope we can delay that a while as I've had enough of German rule for the time being:yawn: I voted for Webber
  5. Had a look for some manta pics - some of the modified ones are absolutely sweet! But inkeeping with the theme of this thread I have added some of the standard ones. Still a good looking thing - even if its not pretty in the conventional sense. 1) Intergrale 2) Stratos 3) Quattro 4) Manta (In no particular order) Mods - please enlarge (again), thanks
  6. Looks like your team are making good progress Bob, Is the engine in then? or was the exhaust pic for mock-up purposes? Hope all goes well and you achieve your goals, although its hardly going to be a failure if you don't hit the double ton. As Alan said, would be good to see a Zed with that capability - but only if it doesn't comprimise the overall package. Even if the car can hit 200, you would probably only get a couple of opportunities to do that speed and you'd need balls the size of watermelons too! Best of luck!
  7. Providing I'm in the country - I'll be there. If the roads are salty I'll be in the GFs Clio. If its dry I'll bring the Zed. Nice one Jeff et al.
  8. I think you should only be able to take out from the system what you've put in - less a figure for administrative fees. So, if you've never had a job and never paid tax - you get fook all. No job seekers, no council house - absolutely sweet FA. If, however, you've been in employment most of your life and have fallen on bad times, you should be able to claim a reasonable amount (say £100p/week). But you would only ever be able to claim a total of roughly 50% of what you've ever contributed. Admitedly this concept would need some fine tuning - but you get the gist. If these scumbag parents with scumbags kids couldn't just palm off their ignorant snotty offspring to burden society, but instead had to keep the promiscuous, drunken toss wipes at home until they could pay their own way - it would be interesting to see if they actually tried to get the little scrotes to put some effort in. I still believe that mass social sterilising is the way forward... Oh, and also to execute repeat criminal offenders as a matter of course... As for finding work: If you want a job you can find one - its that simple. Just depends if you're prepared to lower your expectations to meet the current market place..
  9. Well I was greatly looking forward to seeing your holiday snaps paul:tt1: But I have to highlight the fact that missus C's Li'l Black Dress looks suspiciously like the same one that was entered into Miss 300zx.co.uk earlier this year... Now either you're too tight to buy your lovely missus a nice new dress, or actually you went to Butlins for a long weekend and just posted up your pics from last year - just to look flash! Some come on then, 'fess up - how was Butlins?:hammer:
  10. I like that one Rich, Get a pic of the manta up (yours or google sourced) Good nomination, but will it be popular?
  11. Right then, neglected this thread a bit as I've been snowed under at work:yawn: So as expected, beauty is a subjective topic - all depends on personal taste! That said there must be some common ground, but we're not looking for conventional beauty here - more the unconventional. Three main contenders at the mo, 1) Integrale 2) Stratos 3) Quattro (SWB Sport in my opinion) The common theme here seems to be rally homologation, as all these motors were top-end rally cars in their own right. Any other nominees? Will go to a poll soon! MODS - please can you blow up my thumbs - cheers
  12. Can't figure it out - I hate computers:thumbdown: Off to bed:pinch:
  13. What have I done wrong? How come my pics aren't up?
  14. On my travels the other day I saw a mint Lancia Integrale Evo. Now you don't see many of those, but as I gawped at its flared arches and countless louvres, I couldn't help but notice how freakin beautiful it is. But, it isn't really a thing of beauty - in isolation the individual styling cues would be ridiculed mercilessly on a modern car (anyone else think the Focus RS looks cheap?). So it got me to thinking - the automotive world must be littered with such oxymorons. I'm gonna start with a few pics of the Integrale, but if you can think of any other other cars which share such unconventional beauty, please post em up. Possibly a poll for the best nominations:drool: Cheers (keeping boredom at bay since 1978)
  15. Nice one! Enjoyed those Keep em coming:detective:
  16. Pic of my vec :) Car.Mad in 'car that isn't black shocker'!!:batman:
  17. Small turbos should spool quicker (ie standard). Can feel boost building about 2500rpm and strongly after 3000. not sure exactly though. Cmon peeps, who knows?
  18. when I got mine it was de-restricted but still had km/h clocks... you don't need to see the needle off the scale to know you're goin fast and you can always work out your actual speed from the gearing and engine revs if needs be. I did however get them converted (eventually) by Jeff and Jamie at Zedworld. About £80 if I remember. It might seem odd, but the japs have an interesting approach to many things automotive - very different culture.
  19. Right then, the votes are in and counted! You sad sods out number us sensible folks by 4-1! Pretty conclusive stuff, in this democratic state in which we live the majority rule in favour - private plates are officially cool. Unofficially however, you all look silly for trying to spell words that clearly don't look like what they're meant to! In conclusion, I will preserve my anonymity (and dignity) and leave the private plates to the masses. Case closed! Thanks for all your comments and posts:thumbup1:
  20. You guys must have bionic eyes:detective: Looks like a yellowy smudge to me! Group race (Zeds, of course) Nurburgring, bring it on in December. MMMMMMmmmmmmneeeeeeeeeoooowwwww:scooter:
  21. Well done! Congratulations on your purchase - give us some more details! Any Pics? Good luck with your zed ownership - make sure you get the most out of this forum - well worth subscribing. Cheers
  22. Late apologies for sayin I would come then not showing up..:2guns: Had to take a trip over the pennines instead, to a far off land called Manc land - but was in my Zed, so I was there in spirit if not in person. Hopefully will be able to attend the next one - my missus is off home at Xmas, so I'll be my own boss... until she comes back. Nice one guys - let's have another meet befor the Zedworld Xmas do (cough, Jeff, cough cough):whistling:
  23. After considering my initial post I have now decided to change my mind (where's my handbag?) After looking at Daz's TT, I can only assume that he really has got the best of both worlds. Why go to all the bother of putting a TT engine in it, when he can just pick up another set of keys instead? As for using the TT as a donor car - WTF? It's far too nice to be butchered for its throbbing-manifold-mcnuggets:wacko: Best thing is too keep things exactly the way they are, with the possible exception of driving the TT a little more often... (If you need to beef up your limp wrists Daz, I'm ready for another haircut soon!! :winkiss:)
  24. Hmm I wonder... :lol:From what I've heard Daz is a bit limp wristed - might not be able to handle a proper engine in his hairdresser's car:lol: TT:tongue_smilie:
