How do i remove a cat from my L reg Supra? Bummer, if it was F reg I would have definitely been able to help.. oh well. Hope you get some pussy tonight - all good things come to those who wait. Sorry to sound insensitive - its all abit soap opera on this thread! Good luck

Massive difference tyres make.
I have Jap spec Bridgestones on the front and budget 'Sunny' tyres on the back. I fit budget tyres at the back on all my cars. More fun in the wet (and they never last as long as the fronts). That said, grip levels in the dry are bordering on stupid - only spins the wheels under provacation in first. Lateral grip impressive too. Don't think i need any more grip, but would be interested to try some high-end tyres too.

Mounting a camcorder in the car for the Tunnel Run.
give it a go and see, might not be too bad. would make great viewing! Most important thing IMO is to get the sound right, afterall - not much point on goin on a tunnel run if you cant hear nowt! Fingers crossed it works:rockon:

Interest in my zed - or lack thereof..
Yeah, you're right. I thought that was a slicky.. How did i miss the targa panels? knew it looked to well-proportioned to be a SWB:lol: If you look at one pic you can see the old 'R reg' plate, so looks pucker enough year-wise. However, I'd be surprised it the bolsters on the drivers seat had worn after only 40k miles. Mine are fine on a '95 plate with 70k. Still good value if someone was looking for a clean project car or summits. I withdraw my '...and it wouldn't be yellow' comment..

thinking of another car any thoughts??
I imagine the 911 will be a more dynamically focused car, with greater reward when pressing on. The SL will do 90% of the porsche's maximum and be far more relaxed when you're merely cruisin. It also sounds like a Nascar and goes like a dragster. What more could you need? Unless you really, really, really enjoy going as fast as absolutely fookin possible, I'd get the SL. If, however, every twisty road is a special stage from the monaco rally - I'd go for a porsche (but not a 4WD one if you want ultimate involvement) Disclaimer: having never touched, sat-in or driven any of these cars, I am in absolutely no position to have an opinion worth mentioning. I therefor denounce my comments null and void (but probably true).:tt2:

fuel type
If i'm on a long haul, like 300+ miles in a weekend I'll put anything in. 90% of the time its 97 (tesco/sainsburys). Never had a problem on any fuel. Performance is far more sensitive to atmospheric conditions than what kinda fuel is in the tank. IMO

I know what I'd rather spend MY money on... and it aint yellow - sorry. That said this car has been advertised well over a month now, so thats probably indicative of the market now. Stick to your guns on price - just don't expect to sell any time soon. You will NEVER sell a car that no-one can test drive, unless its a breaker... How about £50 for your chin extension, bumper sticky on thingy wotsit?

TVR  Havn't laughed so much in ages.. he wants a car he can drive lol! Not one that looks funny inbetween trips to the garage. But - how shocking is the depreciation on an M6? 24k - thats peanuts compared to the list price. Good value in those terms, its a lot of car. Btw... cerbera is a great looking car.

thinking of another car any thoughts??
OMFG - Bloody beautiful, the best colour as well - uber :cool3: So whats the crack FastredZ? You keeping the Zed and forgetting a new toy? Or are you just stating that you will be keeping the Zed in addition to the new car? Take it the 964 didn't do anything for ya? What about a Boxster? You can get a good one for 20k and its the best handling car porsche have ever made. You can also buy a turbo kit for about 6k which makes em quicker than a turbo... SHame it has 'the visual tension of a bar of soap (quote: evo mag)' If I had 20k burning a hole in my pocket, I'd spend as little as poss on good car and spend the change tuning it. But then again, I don't have 20k (and probably never will:crying:). Cheers

993-996/7? Are you mental? 993 was far better looking than any current porsche. 993 Turbo was the zenith of 911 design. If you actually go through with this, I will hunt you down, dawg! There are laws against this kind of thing, cruelty against cars etc. I've heard many a good thing about 964's - have you considered a retro themed 911 instead? That would be a little more feasible financially. But they do have a bit of an image problem to the uninformed (i.e a bit 80's). But there are a few benefits too - mechanically simpler, greater reliability and cheaper to fix too (and classic insurance).

Haye v Harrison
The last fight of Harrison's I saw he never threw a punch.. From the sounds of it, this one was exactly the same! Its like trying to win a drag race without any petrol! Hopefully he'll stay down this time.

F1 championship decider
Fell asleep in quali (it has been a long week!) Have seen the results, wish I'd stayed awake. Has someone written a script or what? You couldn't make it anymore exciting! Webber 5th, Vettel on pole, alonso on course for the podium he needs.. and the Mac Lads finding a last burst of speed befor the curtain closes. Awesome! I hope to God that Lewis runs Alonso clean off the track at every opportunity and Vettel takes himself and Webber out. But somehow, I can't see it - so let the best man win. Best of luck Webber, don't let the wingeing Spanish tosser win!

thinking of another car any thoughts??
Good luck on that budget... 996 Turbo defo the pick of the bunch, but you're scraping the bottom of the barrel at 20k. I'd have a rethink a get something where you're not looking for the cheapest available, pretty big costs on those kind of cars.. Oh, and anyone who buys a 911 cabrio should wear lipstick..:winkiss: Just thought you should know:whistling:

Gran Turismo 5 review coming soon!
Wed 24th Nov? I laugh at your optimism:tt2: I've heard that Polyphony have scrapped working on GT5 on the present PS3 platform as - in testing the processor has been melting the circuit board after more than 6 hrs continuous playing time. Apparently Sony are releasing a special titanium edition PS3.5 for the release of GT5 next September:scared: Official testing of the game has been undertaken by an army of ring-tailed lemars. Early reports are that the fooking stupid penalty system bamboozelled the lemars until they became terminally suicidal and all started bum-raping each other shortly befor trashing the test facility and escaping onto the streets of central New York. I cannot confirm this however.:confused1: Has anyone seen the protective hat that Sony are recommending should be worn? Apparently it will prevent injury when you start banging your head on the table after being punted off, whilst in the lead, by a 7 year old from the central Congo basin... Allegedly.. This is what happens when you have to wait 4 fookin years for a fookin game. I'll still buy it tho!

So ugly, its beautiful!
Right then... Porsche GT1 - far too rare, so unfortunately it won't be included.. Metro 6R4 - still-born rally project that never made it into production form Vauxhall Chevette - good suggestion Pug 205 T16 - very rare again, but at least it went into production - so it'll stand. 1) Intergrale 2) Stratos 3) Quattro 4) Manta 5) RS200 6) Alfa SZ (nice one) 7) Scirocco (old one) 8) Mercedes CLK GTR 9) De Tomaso Pantera GTS 10) Lamborghini Countach Anniversary 11) Vauxhall Chevette HSR 12) Pug 205 T16

Is it just me?
Thing is.. if its not the car for you, then move on. No point staying attached to something just cos you spent a fortune on it. If I applied that philosophy I'd still be with my ex missus and never would have met the most wonderful person in the world (...:hurl: ) So, my point is - sell the slick top and try something else. Try a few test drives of a few different motors and see what floats your boat. Maybe something 4WD and rally inspired? Supra is gonna be a very similar beast to the Zed IMO - or not significantly different anyway (300+bhp RWD etc). No one on here will judge you just cos you wanna be a car slag!

So ugly, its beautiful!
Hmmm, Mercedes CLK GTR is in, defo (ugly fooker:pinch:) De Tomaso, though... Well maybe. My problem with the Pantera is that it's actually quite a pretty car and obviously just a homage to the Lambo Countach. Now the Countach started off as a very sleek, futuristic design in its day which then metermorphosised into a be-winged monstrosity in the form of the LP5000 QV Anniversary. Now whether that would be a contender I don't know. However, I shall include both as everyone's opinion is valid in this thread. Done 1) Intergrale 2) Stratos 3) Quattro 4) Manta 5) RS200 6) Alfa SZ (nice one) 7) Scirocco (old one) 8) Mercedes CLK GTR 9) De Tomaso Pantera GTS 10) Lamborghini Countach Anniversary ANy more contenders. Poll soon...:chris: D'Argh

Cool or sad?
I think anyone who shows that level of dedication should be commended for it. Afterall, He could have been into train sets:death: Yes, its a bit sad - a grown man going to that extreme - but who wouldn't enjoy a go on it? You might be bored after half an hour but it has to represent the ultimate Scalextric track experience. Good job IMO
