  1. Sorry, just to confirm... Some of your reps are making 3k a week? I must be in the wrong profession.. :blushing: Edit: - sorry, taking home 3k a week???
  2. oohh, ooh - let me guess!! You've made a plenum out of red glass and illuminated it inside with a Nissan sticker on it - so when you open your bonnet you can see a big red throbbing lump?? :batman:
  3. Awesome Tell that tw@t in the hat to get his hands of your car tho - cheeky fooker  Didn't realise how much work had gone into it - no wonder you wanted to show off, er, I mean show to everyone how you did it! Its a real masterpiece. What you have done is enhance what was already a beautiful design, rather than mutilate it beyond recognition. A well judged, immaculately presented Zed. Me jealous? Just a bit!
  4. Wow, for about 10 seconds there I actually felt proud of my Zed. But only for 10 seconds! Very kind of you to give everyone a conzult Jeff - you should learn to relax a little, you just can't stop working even at JAE!! I'm guessing a few peeps will have a little more to do over the next couple of weekends, good luck guys (and girls) - hope you manage to sort thos things. Bad luck Vods, your's is the only one that seems a major ball ache, hope you get it sorted bud - I know that car has been a labour of love already. STick at it!
  5. You don't realise how fugly supras are until you see a beauty queen in amongst them!! :stupid: Good photos - not bad considering the bumps, moving and ever changing focus point! Cracking effort. The Zed was looking fine in the other photos on the site, no need to be shy!!
  6. That looks awesome, I'm really beginning to like the Kaminari stuff. The fact that its sat on what look to be 19/20 BBS LM's always helps too. Scheerweeet!
  7. I'm sure this is common to most cars. Probably a safety feature or such like. As a zed owner, you should learn never to worry if something is working - just be thankful! LOL
  8. Keep buying them lotto tickets bud, you never know. Take it Shell's 'new' hoover wasn't the priceless antique you were hoping it was!! After seeing the JAE pics, I think I'd get a red SWB targa if I had to buy another. Don't blame you for wanting to keep the bimmer, it must be nice being able to drive places without worrying about the engine blowing up and stuff.
  9. That sounds very interesting Nick! Most people grow tomatoes, sounds like you're growing clocks - I would love to see that! If this sells at that price, I will eat my hat
  10. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=1415822&postcount=1 Have a read through Yassa's thread. He was very pleased with this company from Darn Sarf.. (you southern monkies). He is also running stock internals too. So this shoulb be very representative - irrespective of if you believe the dyno was accurate etc, etc. Maybe drop him a PM. Try and avoid letting them fit the piggy-back board though, from what I could gather they do it the expensive way, there is a much cheaper alternative available. HTH - Cheers
  11. Who took their caravan to JAE?? Only joking - couldn't resist - car looks very fresh! Almost like it was fresh out of the paint shop! Strange that.. Good job Groover!
  12. you will need forged pistons for definite if you want over 500bhp. If you change the pistons then you should fit Cometic head gaskets which are metal. For what you will need to spend to get 500+ bhp it would be far cheaper to tune a bmw straight 6. I've seen the old M5 straight 6's pushing more than 700bhp with a turbo. I really wouldn't bother fitting a VG30DETT into anything. Its bad enough in the zed, why on earth you would want to put it in something else is a mystery. There are much better engines available.
  13. I'm afraid not - but mine isn't exactly strip ready yet. I'd have to fight it out with the FWD cars I reckon - all the chav'd up civics, fto's and such like - might have a chance then. Was looking what events are on at Santa Pod in mid October (when I'm next back home), think there's a Drift what ya brung day, followed by a Run what ya brung the weekend after - so was hoping to make it to one of those, just to see what goes on. If you fancy it, check the weather closer the time and let me know. Cheers
  14. I still remember the day vividly. Me and my dad were playing golf on a lovely sunny day. When we got to the club house, the first plane had already hit. It still wasn't clear what was happening - then as we stood there the second plane hit. I don't think anyone said anything for about 30 seconds. What it must have been like on those planes or in those buildings is unimaginable. RIP to those innocent and brave souls who lost their lives.
  15. LOL, you'd better hope that Bob doesn't take you up on the offer!! You sure your car can make it all the way up the 1/4 mile? These VG engines are pretty fragile! Good luck and let us know what times you run!
  16. That's a great story! I wish I was that ingenious! But it is only a story methinks.
  17. I love it when you wake up and can't remember what happened! That's why I've started drinking in the mornings - before i know it, its the weekend again! Woop woop.
  18. I took my car to Peach, he used many strange potions - but I think the polish he used was made from fruit bat guana and the blood of virgins. Ask him what it was, he'll tell you. I can certainly vouch for the results though. Just don't ask him about T-cut, its for your own safety, lol.
  19. I'm working night shifts now, with next to nothing to do (though I'm not complaining) and this site was the only thing on the internet I really bother with (everyone say ahhh). Sniff, now there's nothing to read or do.. I hate JAE. But a quick look at the calender shows that in 6 years time I'll actually be on leave when JAE happens. Doubt I'll go though - I hate car nerds!! :tt2:
  20. Mad dog 20/20.. Odd that it was called that given your vision was anything but! Special brew. The choice of tramps everywhere - think I drunk 1 can of it before deciding it wasn't for me!! Me and my mates used to go to an old air-raid shelter just outside of the village. The hatch was locked but people were always breaking in and climbing down the ladder the 20 odd ft down into the darkness. Very few people actually made it all the way down though - it was pretty claustrophobic and dark (also stories were rife of murders and rapes that had happened down there, pretty creepy place). But we would sit where an old anti-aircraft turret was mounted. By the time we had grown out of drinking in silly places it was like a recycling facility, I've never seen so many cans! That was when we used to actually have summers of some sort and you could actually drink outside!
  21. Man wanting to buy car: "Excuse me sales woman type person, could you tell me about the '07 plate Mondeo you have for sale there? I was just wondering if that was the 130 or 160 tdci" Sales woman: "Well, its blue, it has a convenient mirror in the sun blind, you can fit lots and lots of shopping in the back..." etc etc.
  22. You still see a lot of deserted cars in the airport car parks - but nothing really exciting. Then again, dust gathers so quickly its difficult to tell how long they've been there - could just be a couple of weeks! I bet there's some bargains to be had there though. Shame they're not individual lots - as I cannot afford to buy 20 odd cars just at the mo. If it was next week, then it'd be completely different.. honest! Anyway, people in Dubai are far too busy borrowing more money to buy new performance cars. Apparently, it is not uncommon for some Emiraties to have borrowed upto 20 times there annual income. Good to see everyone is learning!
  23. I hoping I may stumble across a barn-find over here in the UAE - god only knows what sort of exotics there would be.. I'm off for a drive in the desert.
