  1. That looks very handy! If only I knew the stock wheel dimensions! Off to do some digging...
  2. Wheels are 17" jobbies, with 235 45 section tyres - so I was thinking that they'd be pretty much bob-on size wise. Anyone else running 17's with a slight speedo innaccuracy?
  3. Due to indicated speeds I was entertaining the idea that possibly my car had a N/A diff. But, seeing as my car has HICAS, surely that confirms it is a TT diff? At 4k rpm my speedo shows just under 100mph - which is what lead me to believe that it was a N/A diff. I'm thinking its more likely to be a speedo discrepency? Which means I'm probably going a little quicker than I actually think? Am I right that only the TT diff has HICAS? Cheers
  4. Thought you would want the rear suspension quite soft for a quick launch? To aid weight transfer to the rear? Never hurt the Escort Cossie..
  5. True - but when a car is as ugly as the Supra people tend to take notice!
  6. Are you suggesting that I'm responsible for the low value of Zeds? LOL. If so, I apologise prefusely, but regret - at this time - I will not be able to reimburse anyone for any losses they may have made on their Zeds!
  7. I don't see many Supras or Skylines about either though really. I don't think it really matters tbh, they're all a lot less common than the usual A-B rubbish that clog the roads. Just don't understand how there can be such a gulf in values (even for similar aged cars).
  8. Even since the F & F movies, Supra prices seem to be on the rise. I looked at Supras when I bought my Zed - but couldn't afford one then. Never mind now, by the time I get 10k saved up they'll be way over 20k I expect!
  9. Was browsing pistonheads today, looking for a reliable sports car - lol, but I couldn't help noticing that Supras seem to have gone up about 3-4 grand since the last time I looked. Not the N/A auto crap - the twin turbo manuals seem to be about 10 grand for a decent one, whereas when I last looked they seemed to be about 6-8k. How can it be that the Supra's hold their values so well? I know Sudesh has got a zed for sale at 10k at the moment, but that is way above the average price of our Zeds (and rightly so in this case). I just don't get it. Any ideas?
  10. Depends whether the emergency vehicle was in the same county! If I see blue lights in my rear view mirror my natural reaction is to put my foot down anyway :whistling:
  11. I use my old zed seats as computer chairs underneath the stairs - perfect given the low ceiling! Those wheels look as good as new - cracking job! :thumbup1:
  12. Just reading on Z1's website that their rebuilt and upgraded boxes are good for 550lb/ft. So a standard 'box must be less than that. So, that's that cleared up then. 427.24 bhp is all they can handle. Apparently
  13. Make sure there is plenty of water in your radiator..
  14. Apparently, around 700 brake.. But it all depends on what kinda condition your 'box is in. 300 is too much when it's not working right!
  15. Z1 do a 13" brake upgrade kit which uses the standard caliper setup. Not excessively expensive - just the cost of importing to consider.. http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_9&products_id=141
  16. Mine idles at about 900rpm - anything less than that and it becomes a little lumpy and wobbles a lot!
  17. If it were me, I'd get shot of the cats. I think they would end up being very costly and restrictive. Why do you want to keep them out of interest?
  18. Did you notice if it had yellow tinting on the headlights and fogs/sidelights? I've seen one a few times like that (red one, obviously).
  19. Looks good - the N/A bumper is less fussy than the TT bumper - agreed. Not sure how effective your piping is though - looks a little restrictive? Would it not have been possible to feed the air from the lower air scoop and increase the catch area? But leave the upper scoop to feed the radiator etc. Of course, you could just cut some holes in it where the SMIC's are! I'll get me coat..
  20. Will get this looked at - could be something to do with the gaiters.. I hope anyway! Thanks for the replies.
  21. Well, the most recent one I shoulda said!
  22. Doubt it would put 700 hundred out, but it would certainly be enough - very good price too (if it sells for about 3k).
  23. Just bought Adele (21) and the latest Munford & sons album. Oh and Amnesia Mix CD from Ibeefar - just for a bit of ballance.
  24. Went for another drive this lunch time and I'm embarrassed to say, I might just be having a blonde moment.. The gearknob itself is vibrating, which is amplifying the noise 3 fold. If I keep my hand on the gear stick the noise is much reduced. That said, its still a noisy box - especially at low revs. I'll wait for a second opinion, but an oil change might be all thats required for a while.. Thanks anyway guys
