desicration?
RB32 is the billy-big-balls of the skyline tuning world. About as big as a RB could go before its possible to see the pistons through the side of the block.. Saw one in a R33 GTR at a track day at Cadwell park, nothing could get past him on the straights!! But he was schit slow round the bends.. Can't really remember what it sounds like..

desicration?
Isn't the RB26 just a bored out RB25 with an extra turbo? :tt2: That's because I did a 20hr shift yesterday, so forgive me for my mistake. RB32, that's the one to go for. And... why hasn't anyone considered mating an RB26 to a GTS gearbox? No 4WD hassle then.. Good job the RB is easy to work on with all the bottom end problems they have!!

Do you like this?
Looks like matt grey to me????? Think it looks better in the flesh though.

how many miles has your vg engine lasted
Bought my car with 70 thousand miles on it, lasted another 7 thousand before it blew up. But in fairness it could have lasted much longer if it wasn't for a incorrectly fitted oil line. I'll never know or be able to find out, but my hunch is it would have seen 90 - 100 thousand in my hands. It has since done 1500 miles on its rebuild and (touch wood) will still be going strong when I sell it to some lucky soul in a few years time!

Has to be a RB28DETT, Sounds even better, equal power to the VG etc etc.

300zx tt engine info
Cheapo 400bhp brew kit: Air Filter Exhaust Boost controller ECU chip Should be good for about 370-390bhp for a few thousand miles, shortly before in grenades into a billion little pieces. :whistling: If you want to do things a little more responsibly, add: Larger injectors Uprated SMIC's If you want to do things properly, add: Pistons (+rebuild) Reconditioned tubs/new (larger) tubs Downpipes Decats These are just a rough idea and not exhaustive - but probably not a million miles from the truth either. Tuning a zed to produce reliable big-bhp is a whole world of financial pain. Whether you do it right, or do it wrong - its bloody expensive. Best thing you can do is hope someone sells a recently rebuilt engine with uprated parts..

Cool Check This!
Now, if that little red button said 'nitrous' on it, it would be way cooler. Starter buttons are for fickle retards who completely buy into the 'whole driving experience' bullschit marketed by companies who have managed to convince people that adding an extra layer of inconvenience to an already over-complicated operational system, is actually a premium lifestyle choice. "Oooh look a starter button.. It must be good!".  Disclaimer: all points of view expressed in this post are not to be taken seriously. Starter buttons rule.

Why oh Why.............
Trust me, you don't know how good you guys have it! I had to go for a pregnancy test last week because I had an Arab guy so far up my backside, you could see his headlights in my glovebox! We love to moan about UK drivers, but actually, we're quite a disciplined lot. The other day, I was stationary at a set of lights and this Indian guy drove into me with his van, then started flapping his arms about like a chicken trying to fly, because I didn't let him cut-in at the last minute? I was stationary FFS! Let me be clear though - I'm not making this into a race/ethnic thing - just pointing out the whole different driving cultures that exist elsewhere. Over here its super aggressive. The more valuable your car is, the more important you are and the more risks you are prepared to take. Tail-gaiting is actually taught in driving schools to maximise efficiency of the road network. Roundabouts... Don't even get me started on them. If there is a single driver who understands how they operate, then I have yet to encounter them. Free-for-all doesn't do it justice. Back in the UK, I'm with Richard - the people who piss me off the worst by far, are the 69mph brigade in the middle lane of the motorway. There is however, something we can do.. Just pull infront of these people and slow to 65mph, then 60mph.. until they over take. Then speed up a little.. and just hold them in the outside lane. If they speed up, you speed up. If they slow down, you slow down. I guarantee you, after 4-5 minutes there little brains will be cooked and they'll start panicking like a cat in a microwave. Eventually they'll be so petrified of overtaking they'll hug the inside lane like they do the middle lane now. As Jeremy Clarkson said - put snipers on motorway bridges and keep pulling the trigger until people take notice :2guns:

What? You mean you haven't got the number for the 'Special Phone' in the workshop? The one that flashes red when an important call comes through? Guess they don't give that number out to everyone, eh! :tt2:

Can i drive with expired mot?
Never seen one of them! No doubt I'll be seeing one soon

corrosion protection
Aye - Zedworld did mine for about 60-80 quid if I remember. Even if it only lasts a couple of years - its still good value. Other thing you could do is paint the bottom of the car and arches with bitumen. Second thoughts - just take it to Zedworld!

70psi causing tickover oil smoke??
I thought the whole bottom end was forged as standard? You can have Eagle rods if you wish, but probably aren't necessary and aren't included in the rebuild cost. The Wiseco pistons and Cometic head gaskets are. Cheers

Can i drive with expired mot?
This is the correct answer :gunsmilie:
-
70psi causing tickover oil smoke??
Eh? Reckon on about 3.5k for engine-out rebuild or about 1.8k for a drive in - drive out engine swap. Get a proper diagnosis first though, but from the sounds of it, it will need stripping down.

70psi causing tickover oil smoke??
More like it..
-
Can i drive with expired mot?
No, its like what I said.. Just get your MOT FFS.
-
70psi causing tickover oil smoke??
Yes - its a tired engine. Probably not a good idea to run increased boost if you need it as regular transport. Best start making a plan of action bud..

Knocking help!
From your post, it doesn't sound like the garage did anything with the oil leak, other than make you aware of it. So its not exactly their fault. Sounds like its new engine time..

orange mobile
LOL - Its nothing personal, I'll calm down in a minute... ... and then ask you what offers are on at the moment!

what's wrong with this zed???
I agree, 100,000 miles should be easily achievable in a Zed. Unfortunately many of them have been run on small-zero budgets. Or owned by people who are just dumb. I think anyone who buys a zed and doesn't expect to have to do an engine rebuild at some point in the future, is a very optimistic person indeed. 100,000 on an N/A is another matter altogether though..

Pug 205 Gti
Excellent cars.. But makes you appreciate how far things have moved on in terms of ergonomics and build quality. Has to be the 1.9 though, there really is no advantage at all regarding the 1.6.

orange mobile
I've been out of contract for about 12 months. I keep meaning to upgrade, but I feel Orange have forgotten about me and don't care.. Sob.. I've been a customer for 10 years now and just recently had my largest ever bill of 150 quid. That was 50 minutes of call time to another Orange mobile in the UK - I hadn't used my phone for anything else that month. Nothing. Which just shows me Orange are a bunch of :asshole: s 180 pounds an hour to use my phone abroad. Fook you Orange, take your upgrade and shove it up your :asshole:. I wouldn't give you the steam off my pi55. Ahem, excuse me. Don't know what came over me there. Thanks for the offer, but I'll be taking my business somewhere where I don't get my :asshole: raped the minute I set foot out the country.

Show me your pics
I reckon the '89 spec rear lights look better than the '99 spec. I've never once thought about changing them. But, yes, it does make a difference if they're in good condition or not. Some excellent pictures there guys. Love the GTS in the Warehouse..
