  2. Well, Zed went to a knew owner today who will continue the restoration journey I started. He knows of this place and will hopefully make himself known.

  4. As of today she is now for sale. If anyone knows of anyone looking for a late model 2+2 then please point them my way.

  6. Been quite a while since the last update. And the Zed hadn't moved from the garage since I put it in there in 2022. Had the Zed trailered up to a local garage to get an inspection and costs done for some work. In particular on the floor and chassis rails. The rails themselves were pretty rotten in places. Garage has done a great job, and I'm very happy with their welders work. Pics of before and after below. Getting hardlines replaced shortly before getting a fresh MOT.
  7. Looks as good as always Paul 👍🏻
  8. Did you get it back on the road? If it's a runner with a MOT it'll sell best on ebay or Facebook groups. If it's still off the road, and has any sill rot then you may be best going straight to one of the regular breakers (Paul Clements and Iftikhar Ali) who'll buy it from you to break for parts.
  9. This may be of some help.
  10. I've the data from the old .org site that listed the series info somewhere on an old hard drive. I'll try and dig it out later on. Jaikai has the info as well so might well update before I do.
  11. Tapa talk is a hateful piece of software. The idea behind it 10 years ago was great, but it failed to progress and each update made things worse. It is rather frustrating that every so often when logging in here I have to confirm yet again I want to continue on Chrome (android 13) and not use TapaTalk
  12. So a lot has happened since the last post. Nothing has really happened with the car like. Didn't extend the house...... Moved instead. And after a rather stressful few days the Zed is now in her new home. For reference I do not recommend driving a 300zx in -5° and freezing fog.
  13. I can remember you doing this. There was much jealousy. I cannot begin to describe how much I hate these clips. Absolute **** of a job to get some of them on/off on the fuel lines.
  14. Joel said in the WhatsApp chat that he can no longer make it.
  15. Have you stripped the front down again and checked all your timing marks? I know you've said you're sure it's correct but I'd be taking the covers off and checking again.
  16. Mine has the silver box as well. I've managed to tuck them in amongst the OEM wiring and kinda hide them. I don't have a pic of them though. The various HID extension types are available on ebay and the like.
  17. They must have changed the design then. I bought and fitted that kit a year ago and got the ballasts under the nose.
  18. The feller who ran Zed World is retired, but he still has access to all his records. You could drop him a PM on here and he will be able to help with what history he has of the car. @JeffTT is who you need to get in touch with.
  19. Worth noting that any awkward MOT tester can fail a car under the latest rules for having HIDs fitted that didn't come as standard. Most won't, but some definitely will. You can get around this by hiding the ballasts under neath the nose panel and keeping it looking standard in the rest of the bay. Remember to do your research before buying HIDs. You want a set between 4300k and 5000k. Once you get into the realms of 6000k you get more blue in them and less actual useful light. There's also been some owners having success with LED bulbs (the expensive ones not the cheap ones). These are a definite MOT fail if spotted but they'd seriously have to go rooting around to know they were there.
  20. Lanogard and products similar to that are like when you buy a new car and pay for the "Diamond Protection" or whatever you want to call it. You essentially pay money for a wonder product but it's down to you to add it and maintain it on a regular basis. Lanogard is quite a thin coating which chips rather easily. If it was any good we'd use it on my boats but we don't. Best way for undersides of a car is 2 pak epoxy (I generally recommend Jotrun products) then a 1 pak topcoat (again Jotrun). Then just don't use it in the wet.
  21. ZSpec and BlasterZGarage to reproduction parts of the some of the NLA bits.
  22. I would hazard a guess that the Port number for the USB is incorrect. I've not used Consult on a laptop so I'm afraid I can't offer any advice on what Port it should be.
  23. I was quite surprised to see there was only 19 NA boggo 99 spec in LP2 made. I'd have expected more as it's always been such a wanted colour.
  24. PCV hose. Full silicone kits available from. CZP and Z1 (kit is 5 hoses). Cheaper for the 5 silicone than a single OEM piece. If that one has split you'll find the other 4 will be perished as well. Time to replace them all. https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-products/z1-motorsports/z1-silicone-300zx-z32-pcv-hose-kit-twin-turbo-p-3726.html
  25. Very nice example. Could have had a mini meet when you picked it up. Me and Bird live close to Saltburn. Good to see that fresh cars are still being imported.
