  1. might just be a bit of leakdown from the stem seals Dave

About to do it for the 3rd time tomorrow...rear of car has to be up 24" and the front 10" then have zero slack in your sling from engine crane over the motor..take off the drivers side turbo ellbo to clear steering column shaft and up she comes allowing the rear of box to sit on a jack. Once subframe is cleared then it will lift out so the sump clears the front slam panel then idealy you need a 2nd person to lift rear of box over the slam and thats it.Imho much much easier if you have an auto box..manwell then ime sure its easier with the box left in. edit*** tie a plastic bag around rear of box on the shaftseal or you will have about 3 liters of ATF over the floor and thats AFTER the box has been drained as its what in the T/C fitting is reversal.

  4. started taking the motor out again to remove the tubs that some "turbo experts" had rebuilt for me...bear in mind guys this engine and tubs had been on idle for only 20 to 30 mins to relieve all this oil into the decats..
  5. the powder coaters i used are a lot closer to you..Birkenhead.

  8. well ide be changing the temp sensor then (bigger of the two) on left which sends temp info to ecu.
  9. cant say my zeds have ever gone over a min to come off fast idle and normaly idle at the above even before the temp needle starts to move upwards

  11. Chrome powder wheels...car is black but i dont have them paticular wheels anymore. they cost £40 each to paint.

  13. snap rings...they would leak ime sure iff there not there or have allowed the seal to become unseated

So after banging my oil filled downpipes on the counter of my turbo recon "expert":rolleyes: He goes on to try tell me theres nowt wrong with his turbo,s:headvswal....After 15 mins of being re-educated about his future health and welfare if i dont get sorted he turns to his partner and says "i wonder iff its them circlips that gave us trouble before":censored:....told him the tubs will be on his workbench next week and i want to be there as they are opened up for inspection....to be continued;)

  20. What do your gauges read Andy..cel or far? need to know as the senders have different thread forms.might be a week or 2 as need to get mine sorted this week and early next but i will sort it for you.

  22. the oil is not on the compresser side,all pipes clean.Its getting into the ellbo,s as per gasket pic and vapourizing. Just cant believe this motors got to come out again for another faulty part:headvswal:headvswal Ime getting sick to the back teeth with bad service and parts
