  1. You should all move up here.....our Government abolished all the bridge tolls. Now just waiting on them de-restricting the motorways, that would be an independance vote winner :) for me anyway
  2. lol what ever would you say if you were to watch an episode of Space 1999 or Blakes7 :)
  3. Arghhhh!! why wait until I can't drive before you all go on about arranging a meeting.....you all trying to tell me something?
  4. I'm still here, and likely to remain here sitting on my arse for the next 3 months.
  5. Another classic.......and Stevie? hell yes I still would :)
  6. Nah its just you must be an old fart like me :)
  7. lol It did at the time, and just as well I was in the middle of nowhere.....the air must have turned blue, but funnily enough the pain dissapeared after a couple of minutes, including the pain I had been feeling for the previous 4 days. My foot flopped about a bit though :)
  8. Don't think I've ever suffered from shin splints, but what I would say is dont ignore the warning pains. Found this out to my cost on a recent multi day hiking trip, halfway into my second day the back of my left ankle was aching. I kept on going and snapped my achillies tendon a couple of days later. Not 100% it was related but too much of a coincidence.
  9. Eeek I hate anyone going near my eyes, a needle in it sounds horrendous. I ended up with a deep cut in my eye a couple of years ago the hospital used a swab of something to peel away the skin. the pain for 2 days was unreal I don't think I managed any sleep in that time. I would say always wear safety specs when working under a car, but in my case I had been, I took them of to get a better look when a chunk of rust hit me in the eye...... doh!
  10. A wee bit more recent and I should really listen to what he is saying, when the years start creeping by you tend to forget you aint 25 anymore :)

Prefer this one that I had been watching, and it was a lot closer too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-CL600-V12-COUPE-FULL-MB-DEALER-HISTORY-SUPERB-CONDITION-20K-BILLS-/221231258629?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=5vOcm8R6XccACtdaWkkqFF0VyyQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Dont think I could have kept it going in juice though

Will need to see how it's mended in August, Trust me for only wanting manuals in the past. I've now got 2 cars parked up doing diddly squat. I have spent the last week or so hunting autotrader ebay and gumtree for a cheep wee auto run about. somehow I always end up looking at bigger beasties. Though I have kinda been put of the E Classes after reading about the cost of sbc replacments and the amount of electrical problems with them.

The last couple of weeks has seen some excellent Zeding weather. Unfortunately i've been tied up with prepairing for the next George Lucas sequel so missed it all Imperial Storm Trooper?????? nah right tit! I snapped my achillies on my cross Scotland hike 3 weeks ago and have been in this since. Only another 9 weeks to go and banned from driving manuals so wont be out to play in the Z for some time yet.
  21. Have heard of quotes of over £400 but thats probably garages trying to avoid the work. Saying that £200 would be cheap for the work involved in doing them all. Just a tip if you are going to do them yourself they can be done without taking the diff out but you need to drop the subframe a bit, you do need to remove the zorsts and disconnect the shockers though then its 4 nuts to drop the frame. Still awkward to do though
  22. Must be my age then, just checked and they have insured the Z for £177 with all the mods declared.
  23. I'm on an Admiral multicar policy, which works out pretty good for me £412 for the z and the daily, a 530d. Believe it or not the daily costs more than the z. Well worth asking them for a quote.
