  1. He should only fail it if he can identify excessive movment, if theres a collar kit fitted then the most he can do is pass and advise.
  2. lol thats brilliant
  3. Ahhh a new timing belts been fitted, I wondered why the spec lists the 0-60 and top speed as a bit off. obviously a couple of teeth out
  4. not good news mate. fingers crossed it aint the belt
  5. That does seem strange, sounds more like a problem with the DVLA rather than VOSA then.
  6. Sounds like there is a data issue somewhere, you really need to get it sorted out otherwise chances are you are going to have problems when you go to tax the car. Even worse if it aint on the database the police use then theres going to be issues if they ever stop you. Best giving the VOSA helpline a call and explain the situation 0300 123 9000. Hopefully they can help, if not let us know.
  7. Got up early this morning and nipped out to the supermarket. One bunch of red roses and a nice card later, job done or so I though. Got back home and put my cunning excuse into play.....honey I left it to the last minute so the flowers would be as fresh as possible.........didnae work! the huffy cow is now hardly speaking to me. Hang on! nothing new there then, ah well life goes on.
  8. Ooooops I'm fooked, thanks for reminding me, but it's a bit late now....yep I'm fooked!
  9. I'd go with Trevs thinking, if it's just happening on full lock then it is possible its just the noise of the pressure relief/bypass valve. Tell her not to hold it on full lock :)
  10. The place to look for some info https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-identity-check/taking-your-car-for-a-vic-test The idea of the VIC check is to make sure that the vehicle is what it's purported to be and not a ringer. It's not an MOT test but if the tester spots any roadworthiness issues then he will be duty bound to do something about it.

Hi Cos She is all tucked up in the garage just waiting on the better weather. Here are some pics taken since the sills and body work was done, I posted most of them up before but they seem to have disappeared

Cheers, that seems to be a familiar trend with there customers. Suppose it's the luck of the draw as to whether you need to go back to get anything sorted out. I'll pass the info on.

Del One of my neighbours is looking at a car up at Calder Motors. I think you had dealings with them in the past, are they ok to deal with? Their forecourt has changed a bit from the last time I was up there, no more scoobies skylines or supras
  15. And good on him for sticking to his guns, if he knew he was innocent then why should he accept the penalty...........I do think most of us would just accept that we were probably in the wrong though, for me I'm just glad I aint triggered one of the one eyed monsters already!
  16. The weather may be nicer (though going by the past few years I doubt it) but have you ever been up there when the little fookers ar feeding ? it aint pleasant
  17. lol you said it was gonna be ready for March
  18. Ok will look to plan something similar, though looks like it's going to be a bit later in the year this time (midge season). I'm going to do a coast to coast walk in May which looks like it's going to take about 2 weeks plus the planning beforehand, so it's probably going to be summer before a run can be arranged.
  19. Myself and Andy (Berrica) did a run up the north west coast a couple of years back, excellent roads up there for the Z and great pubs at night :). Could look to do something similar again this year if anyone is interested.
  20. Not usually much of a cake fan but that looks yummy. It's going to be worse next week as the Mrs has decided that as she's going on a diet so am I, so if you can save a bit and send it up to my work address that would be fab :)
  21. OK pick you up at about 18:40
  22. just logged in to ask you that very question
  23. Haven't had the misfortune of it breaking when Ive been driving (yet). This should be the standard Z song though, gets played in mine often! [video=youtube;JI-o25K6B-E]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI-o25K6B-E
