  7. Yes ebay can be cheaper, but not always. Again better trying a local motor factor first. There is also the added advantage that if it is the wrong part it is far easier and quicker to sort out.
  8. Got to agree with this, I have seen breakers charging nearly the same as a new part from a main dealer. So it is always worth a few phone calls, try your nearest Ford dealer then a couple of motor factors before asking a breaker for a price.
  9. Hmmmm good to know, Ive got 2 lying here. Trip to the scrappy's soon I think
  10. lol I was thinking along the same lines, a street full of "interesting" cars, though I thought Rover as opposed to a Triumph
  11. Did it fail when fitting it as opposed to failing when the car was in use ?
  12. Just keep an eye on the Scottish threads, We should have some meets coming up over the next couple of months.
  13. Yes, just be careful if using a sander not to take too much off or burn the plastic. When I did mine I was advised by the guy that was to paint it that it did not have to be totaly smooth as he would be using a high build primer to prep it anyway.
  14. Nobody else playing? [video=youtube_share;YF4_YciUVKA]

  20. Just chilling having a beer or 2, and perusing the Tube, then thought hey we used to do this on the forum. And no Stella I aint Eisgarwind or whatever the moniker was :shuriken: Anyhows my first one. no video just a still, but its all about the toon (or in this case the lyrics ) bets a few of us can relate to them :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp2AtK11ynE&feature=related
  21. Not an MOT failure as they would be classed as additional/optional lamps which are not testable. The problem you will have though is that the police work to construction & use regulations, its a fog light so they are likely to class it as such. If you put in a low enough wattage bulb you may just get away with it as long asit's clear the lamp is unlikely to dazzle oncoming traffic. ( more chance of a ticket though :) )
  22. lol that took a bit of thought to put that together The interior looks pretty clean but the engine bay appears to have been lying at the bottom of a canal for the last 5 yrs. Youve also got to ask whats being hidden by those side skirts.
  23. Really need to wait to see when Harby is up, though if he aint going to make it we could arrange something.
  24. Nope you do not need the solid alloy bushes. The Driftworks poly bushes will do the job, I fitted them to mine and the instructions are to completely remove the original bush. But to get the subframe to sit the same distance from the body I had to fit 10mm spacers. I got some cut and drilled from a local engineering shop for £10. The supplied centre sleeve to my mind is also too short, I could not get the retaining nuts to lock against them. A couple of plain washers did the job of packing them out.
