Rear power steering pipes
Had a look today at mine, seems pretty straight forward. If you look between the n/s drive shaft and the rear of the subframe you will see the pipe assembly mounting. An 11mm or 12mm socket iirc will unbolt it then its just a matter of the 2 banjo bolts above the front of the drive shaft and the two connections at the ram. By the look of it there's no need to drop the subframe.

Rear power steering pipes
The last pic shows the block that I mentioned, looks like it unbolts from the underside and that theres room to do the job without dropping the subframe. Hope I ain't wrong :)

Rear power steering pipes
Just refurbed my subframe and for the life of me cant remember whether the bolt holding the pipes to the top of the subframe comes out from the top or bottom. If its from the bottom then the job will be far easier. I don't think you will need to remove the subframe to get the pipes out but you may have to drop it down a bit, which is pretty easy really. If you look up the inside right hand side of the frame assembly you should be able to see a bracket with a couple of blocks attached, they are part of the pipes, one bolt holds them to the frame. Follow the flexible pipes forward of this and you will see 2 banjo bolts which have to be removed. Then its just the 2 connections on the rear ram.

Anything happening?
Yep we are a bit overdue on a wee meeting. I should have my car back on the road by next week if all goes to plan. Just need an MOT and to get the rear alignment checked. So sometime in the next week or two would be good for me.

MOT Passed and coilovers fitted
Yep fitted it back in yesterday, still got the prop, exhausts and h/brake cables to refit then bleed everything up. Should be all done by the weekend, but then I am toying with the idea of cleaning the rest of the floor pan up and undersealing it to match the nice shiny back end

weirdest things you have found in a car you have brought lol
Not an item as such but something that was found in a Celica Supra I had recently bought, was walking up to it in the works car park and one of my mates noticed two sets of footprints on the back quarter glass, the prints were facing opposite directions

Door Stuck!
Have you tried lifting the door a bit when you try to open it. Not had the problem on the z but seen it on other cars where theres a little bit of wear in the lock or door hinges. The catch does not then clear the pin properly making it appear the door is stuck. Either lifting the door or a hefty thump from inside usually opens it. If something has detached from the mechanism then it's likely you are going to have to pull the door card out enough to get your hand in to operate it. On the plus side if you do damage the door card then it can be replaced relatively cheaply (2nd hand) if it's standard.

Yay mot passed

Sub Frame Bushes
The subframe is out the car now, so no point in just taking the easy route :). Plus I think what you are describing is just the collars which lock up the frame to the chassis as opposed to bushes. The road noise is bad enough as is without doing away with the isolating properties of the rubber. There is only one of the subframe bushes shot, I am tempted just to replace that one and keep the standard set up.
