Throttle body modification
Dont bother, its not a mod. I've wrote about this before, its positioned that way due to the intake pipe angle into the throttle bodies. We've even had a member test it back to back on dyno and seen a power loss with it done.

Best garage in the midlands for 300zx?
Zedworld. £1k sounds about right. Clutch is a few hundred, 60k kit is a few hundred and its a fair amount of labour.

Import Certificate
Have owned about 15 different imports. Never seen an Import certificate, Im sure thats just what the Importer uses to register the Vehicle with DVLA. Occasionly had the Auction report showing Auction grade and spec, thats it.

Feeling slightly guilty, i've had to defect.
Good buy, my daily driver is a E39 5series too. If I could only have the 1 car - a combined daily driver and performance toy - I would be very happy replacing my regular 5series and the Z with an M5. The E39 range was widely regarded as the best car in the world during its production run, easily better than pretty much all newer cars, and the M5 is the cream of the crop.

Colour
The vast majority of Black Z's are metallic black - code 732 The GL1/KH3 is rarer and I personally prefer them over the metallic, which although it has a nice pearl affect under the sun the Plain black looks a lot darker/deeper shade of black without all the flake in it.

black interior Question
Are we talking about the actual door/panel plastic or the cloth material ? The plastics are essentially Black, but technically a very dark grey. The Cloth Material on Panels/Doors- depends on the year/series of the car. Series 1 (89-92) Had grey tweed. Uk models being slightly different to import, but both grey tweed. Series 2, 3, 4 (92-97) Cars fitted with Leather had Dark grey suede synthetic material Cars Fitted with Cloth seats had a Blue Velour Material instead. Series 5,6 (97-00) Came with Black Tweed on panels/doors as standard. Other materials may have been optional. * I may have got series 4 (late 94-early 97) mixed up, cant recall which group it belongs in. ** This is for Regular Black interior cars. There are some very rare Interior colour options such as Cream, Red and Blue.

whats it worth?
I have binned about a dozen of these Z units - Tape players, cd players and even oem CD changer controls that are fitted to the inside of the centre armrest. :blushing: Advertised a couple on ebay, but never had any takers. Never expected anybody would actually pay something for them tbh. So in terms of value - thats entirely up to you.

Fog light switch question
As far as i can tell (from reading the rules) hooking it up to the Front fog switch is perfectly fine for the MOT. There is no rule on how the tell-tale should look...it can even just be a lightup switch without any symbol. This is how I had 2 of my previous Z's set up which went through numerous Mot's, and so is my slicky (although I dont have front fogs on it and its not been for mot).

****** Why has LPG gone up too?
Buying an already LPG equipped car is ok, but you'd have to be mad to convert one now.

How much!
hmm...agreed. The car appears to be U.S spec and its hard to tell but the pics even look like they are taken in the U.S Advert is very generic - yet the car has updated/aftermarket parts shown in the pics - 99front, 99rears, Kaminari spoiler. Chrome wheels (rare oem option), hints of a possible fmic

How much!
lol I was going to say, £4500 is not unreasonable for a Tidy SWB TT , a little overpriced since its an Auto though and ofcourse the whole LHD issue is no go. I remember when £4k was the bare min anyone would even consider spending on a Z and everyone used to say how prices are as low as they are going to get.... :( but 45k yeh..

What colour?
My favourite standard colour is black. White does look great - but as an aftermarket modern white. The standard white is a bit drab Bare in mind a Colour change will cost 2-3x as much as just a blow over, it a very big job to get done properly.

nice 94 model on ebay
A Red UK Auto would normally be my idea of a 300zx nightmare, but thats potentially a very nice car and a bit of a bargain atm.

Just bought a crane
Im pretty sure thats the same one I bought, it must have lifted near 100 Z engine's over the years without problems.

Should i de-swage my bumper
Since you've done the sides (looks great btw) , I would definatly do the rear. I dont think it will make it bland, it will make it look more modern I reckon and the line would stand out badly if you did'nt. I'd also do the front, I reckon a 99spec bumper would look good de-swagged, but you can get away without doing that as it sort of looks like a front splitter extension anyway.

For those not entirely loyal to the zed.
No plans to replace the Z, far to many plans for it as it is. Its my toy. I tend to change my daily driver, or my wifes car instead every so often...that fulfills my car purchasing needs.
