Its a parking aid. A lot of Jap imports had them fitted. You raise it so you can see the front of the car when parking.

Small screen monitor advice
Check out http://linitx.com/ for a UK supplier of In-car Computer equipment including screens. Also US company : http://www.digitalww.com Look out for brand mines like Lilliput and Xarnarc/Gain. Both product 400 nits VGA Screens (and touchscreen), although most will tell you that the Xarnac/gain has better clarity. btw - 10-12" is pretty big for a in-car screen. Most are around 7.5" where are you mounting them ?

Times u r reminded how quick bikes are compared to a Zed...
Theres been many a time I've beaten the kid next door on his bike. He tells me its a pretty good one too with shimano gears and front fork suspension. Does'nt matter how much weetabix he has, still cant pedal fast enough !

Boost
My Gt4 used to do this, on a hot day after being stuck in slow moving traffic, due to the heat soak from having its Intercooler mounted on top of the engine. I've not experienced it with the zed however. Sorry, that was'nt much help :(

HICAS bushes
The Hicas unit, I think, uses 1 arm each side of the car. I dont think I've seen replacement bushes for these advertised (anyone know?), but there are a whole load of other arms in the multi-link suspension, which more than likely have worn busbes, and can be replaced with Poly bushes. Another upgrade is Subframe bushing spacers. The Zed uses a floating rear subframe, which means up to an inch of travel before the suspenion hooks up. The spacers prevent this movement, giving more response, less lean and reduces the "hopping" effect the zed experiences when wheel spinning.

99 Spec Rear Light Conversion Kit Fitting Instructions
lol... Sssshh..Im not here really..Im busy working http://www.designwisestudio.com/z32/tail_lights/
-
rear centre panel intermittent light
Thats not standard on a series 2 (at least im 99% sure its not), so looks like somebody did a conversion. The wires to it would either be linked up to your rear light wiring or liscence plate light, so I would check there for a bad connection.

Buying an import......help please.
Welcome, In stock form yes, the TT is relativey detuned as they leave the factory and it does'nt take much to release the extra potential. The TT also has an extra 85 Ib/ft of torque as standard, and thats what really matters. For (average) performance figures : NA 222 bhp 198 Ib/ft 0-60 : 7.0 secs 0-100 : 18.6 secs Top speed : 140 mph TT (Euro and Japan) 280 bhp 283 Ib/ft 0-60 : 5.5 secs 0-100 : 14.5 secs Top speed : 170 mph +

Whats that running then?
 thats quick !!. 10.195 @ 135mph
