Stock gauge is completly and utterly useless. Hear it far too often on these cars...car seriously overheating, and stock gauge says its running normally. be warned : fit aftermarket temp gauge !

Congrats :D, can you post the Power at wheels figure, as the power at Engine is only a estimate calculated from the Wheel figure.(and testers often use wrong calculation) Heat is one of many factors that can cause detonation, and the car does not go into safety mode with detonation. It runs alternative fuel and timing maps instead when it senses it.

Stock gauge, did'nt move. Aftermarket went up from an typical average of 76 degrees, to 83 degrees over this weekend (on motorway) but perfectly acceptable still.

A Great day out. Very hot...too hot, which was hampering figures as the day went on. Will let those that had theirs on the rollers post their results if they want to. A Great turnout by Tatsu and the SXOC clubs. The highest Figure I saw was by one of our fellow Zed owners :) , but we did all scamper of the pub to cool down before the end. I think the Hicas lockingunits only replaces the hicas unit and not the lower link arms. You would need to get the replacement lower link arms. Have a word with MJP for lower links, and Chris @ getgreddy for Hicac locking kits.

Outbound Route Dover-Calais HOVERSPEED 24/6/2005 11:30 WHat time is everyone planning to get to Dover for ? Do we need to be there a certain time ahead of departure. Most of us are going to end up hitting the M25 during rush hour that morning I reckon. Perhaps we could arrange a convoy somewhere where we'll all be joining same routes. Me and Greg are going to be coming from the SW along the M5(northbound) -> M4 (eastbound) -> M25 (counter-clockwise).

....if its the big white one..thats the Viscous fan, and should always be on. If its the small black one, thats the fan that comes on when car starts to overheat and its more than likely the Temp sensor in Water hardpipe.
