  1. Dont think anyone could argue that Boost jets are better than a Boost controller....only that they are a LOT cheaper.
  2. The square light unit is a combined sidelight and indicator unit..and the outer lense units are just dummy lenses ? If so, then you have the same as UK spec front bumper, must be a Series 4 thing. Did you buy the additional required Indicator lghts with the 99 spec bumper ?
  3. and New stock turbo's are barely any cheaper than the much stronger, more reliable and more efficient uprated turbo's. Does'nt make any sense to go for New stock tubs.
  4. Hi Rixy, welcome. Buyers guide : http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/BuyingZ.htm Difference between production years : http://www.300zx.org.uk/model_variations.htm We have a few members also in Cornwall, would be good if you got the chance to meet up with one of them, or come to the future cornwall meet that currently in planning. (see the SW Meets section) Cheers, David
  5. From what I can remember... - On imports the Fogs and Sidelights are shared, and the Indicators are seperate. - On Uk cars the Indicators and side lights are shared (and the outside indicators lenses are blank) The 99 spec was only available as an Import, so it should use the same setup as pre-99spec Import.
  6. ok, had hoped it would be more effective at killing road noise too, but not too fussed as its for my new ICE install anyway. Cheers
  7. Should be Foglight and Sidelights combined, which is how Jap Imports come as standard.
  8. Everyone, see http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=436115 Bodyshop were aware of the Ripples when they first got the wings. Dont know wether that makes any difference
  9. what about cutting out road noise, and where is the most effective locations to apply it for that purpose. I've just bought 3 roles of Ivanhoe Sound deadening, which is the same as Brown Bread (different naming becuase different country of origen) to cover the bottom of my boot.
  10. I'd be interested to see this Frosting spray effect. But the alternative is just to buy 2 kits of the Clear lights. Dozens of us have purchased them from the US and done the conversion, and it would be no more difficult to replace the brake lense at same time.
  11. If weight is a concern...I can supply Stones. They are similar to Rocks, but smaller and lighter. I find them much more managable.
  12. Decat = Turbo seal failure - fact or fiction. ;) Here u go : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=37089
  13. scan...scan...scan :) Anyone buy the Banzai "nissan" special edition magazine from WH Smiths.....I guess it must of came out this month. £7.99 Couple of Z32's in there, although I think they are just reprints of past articles.
  14. Membername : Interwired ...and I've just found you on there too :D Also good friends with "Jon" the main Admin who you will probably know from the forum.

Have always hated vauxhalls. But yeh, they have made a couple ok cars when somebody else designs it for them :smash:
  17. probably just a flymo. That all I have in my shed.
  18. Welcome, Plenty of power before the turbo's kick in, and a relatively lag free low spool up at 2900rpm, and is a very smooth delivery. Low 13's, maybe high 12's can be ran on basic breathing and boost mods at about 14psi. Stock quater miles are printed at anything from 13.8-14.2 Many people disable the HICAS 4WS, preferring it without. Its an additional drivers aid that some like, some hate. The main problem being that after 10-14 years its components wear and its often simpler just to disable it then. Battle with the fronts.....Chris you sure were'nt facing the wrong way LOL
  19. do an ECU error code check first.

  21. Nice one Marcus...so then..whats it like ??
  22. SL65 AMG - Yep, might weigh almost 2 tonnes but it has over 600bhp to make it shift
  23. Wont affect boost levels, and if anything would put less wear on the engine as it has a smaller mass to turn. Its a very effective mod, giving a much freerer reving engine....which inturn means more response and quicker acceleration.
  24. I had 205's on the front of mine when it came over from japan. They did'nt look too thin for the rim.

What age/registration was it ? There is ofcourse only one standard escort that would have any chance of keeping up, and thats the Cosworth. But you never know what cars can be running when it comes to modifications. (engine transplants, turbochargers, superchargers). Could of even been a very heavily modified RS Turbo.
