  5. £1.5k oh dear oh dear....lots of chavs buying "Spares or Repair" Zed's Had a flick thru Chavpower the other week (Dont worry, nobody saw me I was very carefull), and they had the stats all wrong listed for the TT 0-60 - 7.1 secs Top speed - 148mph Looks like they put either NA stats or the old Z31 stats by mistake. Thought about correcting them but perhaps it will stop all the saxo boys from buying them.

an Rx7 will be less economic that a zed, its Rotary engine is well known for its poor fuel consumption. I averaged 23mpg on a 160mile trip the other week, and that included a LOT of tripple figure driving, toying with a Focus RS and a good 20 mile of in town traffic. On a 180 mile journey I have made a few times in the zed, at 90mph cruising I return 24-25mpg. A full tank (£60 of optimax) will give me around 350 miles I am on stock boost, but with a gently motorway drive Im sure I could easily get that into the High 20's
  17. It would be my guess that it must of been fitted incorrectly. Bearing looked fine when it was off the car. If the prop was fitted without marking and realigning the prop the way it came out, how can I refit it the correct way (if no markings were made?) ? Thanks
  18. I had the car taken to a garage for rear main seal replacement, and obviosly the prop had to come off and be put back on again for this. As soon as I drove out of the garage I had the vibration. Comes in at about 40mph +, felt through the seat, much worse then its cold, calms down when warmed up. Not sure why it failed after being removed and refitted. The Bearing is'nt cheap (about £120 + Labour), so are there ways to check if its the cuprit before I replace it ? I read that sometimes a failed rear gearbox mount can be the problem (gearbox drops slightly, moving prop out of alignment), but presumably this is'nt something that would be affected by heat/cold, like mine is ? Cheers
  19. Welcome Alex, You need to try and locate the boost leaks. Follow the intake pipes up from the filter, and the ones up from the Intercoolers, check all the Small rubber vacumm pipes that run around the sides and back of engine. Code 34, is Det sensor Failure. It will put you in safety mode (retarded timing and 7psi Max boost). You can either bypass the det sensor (have a search) or replace the harness or Sensor itselt, which can be a time consuming and expensive job.
  20. The price Zen Garage charge (topless) is very good, most places wont be able to touch it for that. Its a lot of work as the whole rear subframe has to be dropped.
  21. Welcome Browny :D
