big problem.. bad idle, boost leak etc etc..!

Hello everyone!

I'm new on this Board. I'm from Canada montreal!

I bought a nissan 300zx 2+2 swapped TT manual 1 month ago.

Everything was perfect but 2 days ago on the hayway after a little race, the car started to hesitate. I got out of there and as soon as I pressed the clutch, the engine stalled.

Now as soon as I press the gaz, i'm not able to reach more than 0.1 bar and and it's like if my blow off valves was open almost anytime! There's a very big fsssshhhhhhh starting around 1000 rpm and there's no power at all!

On neutral the idle play between 100 and 1000 non stop it'S very anoying!

Only ECU code that I have is 34 since the biggining...

please help!!

thanks

Alex

Welcome Alex,

You need to try and locate the boost leaks. Follow the intake pipes up from the filter, and the ones up from the Intercoolers, check all the Small rubber vacumm pipes that run around the sides and back of engine.

Code 34, is Det sensor Failure. It will put you in safety mode (retarded timing and 7psi Max boost). You can either bypass the det sensor (have a search) or replace the harness or Sensor itselt, which can be a time consuming and expensive job.

thnaks legrath!

I've seen alot of topic concerning the det sensor wich is not a big deal for me, I will fix it but I really need to find the problem...

What are the symtoms of a blown turbo? Maybe this is my problem...

When I hit the gaz I can hear a big wshhhh, not sure if it comes of the BOV or somewhere else but for sure under boost there's something wrong...

It doesnt sound like a little leak but like a very big hose or piping unplugged. It has to be mechanical because I dont have any ECU codes except 34....
