  1. not these seen before, but what an excellent idea ! The trouble with a sudden major water loss, is that your stock temp gauge may not register the increasing temp (becuase if its no longer in water, it cant read an accurate figure)
  2. only just seen this.....sorry to hear, wishing leigh a Good recovery !
  3. Many have lightened underdrive crank pulleys or full kits fitted. Supposed to give around 10bhp increase and quicker revving. Its not a massive change though. It wont affect driveablity in anyway, although you may notice more/harsher engine noise with the lighter pulleys. Be sure to buy a properly balanced Pulley set, rather than the unknown ebay variety. Smithy sells the SGP set. http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/300zx_sgp_racing_underdrive_pulley.htm A more effective alternative IMO is a lightened flywheel.
  4. Its just the rings. Easy to fit.
  5. Yep..."Neesan ZeeEx"

  9. This is happening a LOT with cars (and other items) at the moment...especially via ebay.
  10. Its official..you are the bigger post whore !
  11. Welcome. Buyers guide here : http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/BuyingZ.htm (wow, thats 5th time this week I've posted that....is there something we should know with the sudden rush of new buyers ? :))
  12. That price sounds very good. Interested to know your opinions on them if you buy them. Anyone know what the stock spring rating is ?
  13. Congrats Steve !
  14. Welcome. :) Well 3.0 instead of 2.0 , and Twin Turbo's instead of one. I average low 20's mpg. Mid-high 20's on a Long motorway run...but I dont want to think about what it uses in town and when in "playing" mode. Nope, not at all. Check out the buyers guide, and by from an enthusiast http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/BuyingZ.htm Excellet choice ! :)
  15. Mine had no badges when it arrived on ours shores, but they still have 300zx on the centre rear light panel.
  16. the Mist switch is just for doing a single sweep with the rear wiper , instead of turning on the timed automatic rear wiper function.
  17. Check the shocks are fitted correctly. Inspect both sides to ensure that the spring coils are equal, with the the top end of the spring on the inside.

    Happy birthday bud :)
  19. That would all depend on the seller and the make/model of clutch
  20. Welcome :) Cost the same to run....No! The 300zx was just shy of £40k at its end of its UK production run in 1994 (it continued till early 2000 in Japan) and you have to expect its maintence costs to reflect this. It is the original japanese supercar and a much more powerfull, faster and higher class car than your other choices. As much as I respect the other cars abilites they are no comparison. The Scooby is just the high performance version of an ugly Cheap plasticky Saloon (and is extremely common with a declining image problem) and the S14 is a £20k Sports coupe designed for the masses. The 300zx will cost more to maintain just like a £30k Bmw will cost more to maintain than a £15k mondeo, but you get far more for your money !! Its generally a well built, reliable and over-engineered car, like most japanese cars but its all about buying a carefully looked after example and continueing to look after it with regular periodic maintanence ! The supra TT and 300zx TT are worthy rivals. Toyota had to go back to the drawing board for a 2 years when the zed was released. The Supra has the performance advantage with its higher boost level as stock, and its tuning advantage with its 555 injectors and slighly more efficient Stock turbo's..although the Zed engine is more efficient at equal boost levels. 21. Nissan got very stingy with their standard options in later years :(

I have a serious "issue" with injections in my mouth. No problem anywhere else, but I'd rather have the pain of them drilling into my gums and ripping out a tooth that the actual injection for the pain relief...but they refuse to do that. So I did'nt go for 8 years....then when I did have to go the ******* gave me 4 injections to remove a tooth and 2 fillings
  23. LOL, they are pretty funky. Just like everything else, more than double the price....Replace the Dollar sign for a pound sign, and add some more on top. :xxx:
  24. If thats how your going to be dressed, I dont think I want to go anymore :smash:
  25. Surely its not nessarily the goverment that is the problem here, although yes the tax from Fuel is f*cking rediculous, but the Petrol companies too Shell make a profit of £1.6 million an hour, and have announced the biggest year profit earning of any UK company. Then you have the other Major Supplier's BP and Esso on top of that, plus the minor stations. Profit, Profit, Profit ! Then they blame price increases on rising oil prices !
