  1. It would cost you the same again for shipping plus the vat and import. I thought zcentre did the bomex replica kit ?
  2. The pre mid-1995 had a 3.4 litre V6 with just 160 hp ! , after 1995, it went to a 3.8 litre with 200hp. (both are very dissapointing figures for such a large performance engine). Its heaver than the zed, and the 3.4 V6 really is only capable of around 10 secs 0-60. There are very few American cars that have any credibilty in the UK, and the only ones that do are a few of the Classic Muscle cars.
  3. In the UK you would get laughed at for owning a Firebird and beaten at the traffic lights by everything from your mums runabout to company repmobiles.
  4. A typical car like a Hothatch or modified "regular" car is a boy racers car. :headvswal The 300zx is a Very High performance sports car (was labelled Japan's First Supercar by the media) and was designed to be the best sports car in the world. Its a Porsche rival, cost not far off £40k 10 years ago and was aimed at Wealthy Car enthusiasts. (mainly Rich Businessmen). On top of that, a typical boy racer is in his Teens or early 20's , yet the average Zed owner age (there was a recent poll) is 31 years old, and we have many members in their 40's & 50's....and even 60+
  5. Excellent vid. There was a lot of Video taking in convoy as we travelled through France and belgium, but its not been edited and published yet :(
  6. dont be silly  ;)

Bump - Anymore votes on this one before I make arrangements ?
  10. Mine did the same, I think the PayPal subscription is working fully for auto renewing the account. p.s There is no Welcome Pack. Just stickers.
  11. It relies on signal from back of clocks. They are all linked. If Speedo fails the rest will play up too. The steering is probably going stiff on yours becuase it is speed sensitive and its stiffening up at the wrong speeds becuase the speedo is out.
  12. You can buy wide angle LED versions. The bulb type is 501, and you can get them with 4 or 6 led's. Alternatively with a hot glue gun, put a little bit of glue on top of the LED's and it will spread the light about better. Unfortunatly with the Needles, blue light does not travel through them very well. Red would work very well.
  13. Climate control was standard on all. (there were some early models without it, but they were just for Press Launches, and became an option from around 1995 onwards) Leather was an option on all Imports. Na's had Narrower anti-roll bars and I think the spring rates were altered too.
  14. If you press them in and out quick enough they act like wings and you can make the car fly. There the perfect gadget for impressing other motorists in supermarkets
  15. 15" and 16" are still the most common. 18" are ofcourse becoming more popular with Car modifiers, but to actually get them in the widths the zed runs is still very rare. Tyre choice is critical, and makes the biggest difference between a crap handling car and a great handling car. There is also a big difference between all off the tyre types a Manufacturer supplies. If I found somewhere that hard Part worn tyres in the Sizes I wanted and the make, model I wanted I would snap them up. But thats unlikely to happen.

Its very easy to check for fault codes. Takes 5 minutes. follow the instructions : http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html If you need a suitable garage to work on your car then the "Zen Garage" is your closest. Check the Traders area of this forum.
  17. Happy Birthday guys :duffer: :duffer:
  18. perhaps we need a Poll to decide on wether to do another poll ;)
  19. Do NOT oil the Apexi filter. Its a Dry Filter. For cleaning just use water and/or an airgun. The oil you can buy for cleaning other filters can render the filter useless. As for Water soak, the Apexi is actually one of the better filters for preventing this. Not sure why the K&N does not suffer, perhaps it just does'nt give as much sucking force as the others. The Foam type filters are the worst for water soak.
  20. I see you mentioned wanting "lighter" parts for the zed. Were you aware that the stock bonnet is aluminium and is the same weight or lighter that a carbon fibre bonnet !?
  21. Yep, as above. I suspect that is also affecting idle, as it will run in the "warm up" precodure, as if the engine is still cold. It will also put you in safety mode.
  22. Plus Vat and Delivery, puts them at around £65
  23. I doubt you'll find out. This thread is 2.5 years old, and mrsmizzy has'nt posted on here in over a year.
  24. He is a "vertically challenged" and can only reach as high as the 50th floor Button.
