  1. Need suggestions for February and March ? How about Indoor Karting? Pub and meal(where?) ? ..and for our Cornwall, Devon, Dorset members....which dates would you like some more meets down that way ?
  2. ok, have made some changes and additions. The summer months are going to be busier than the winter months becuase of extra daylight, nicer weather and it also means that those on holiday during the season will still be able to get to at least one meet those months.
  3. but what about you guys moaning about him moaning ?

  5. Thanks Mart :D Much appreciated  . I think Pj is away at the moment, so I'll take it from the wifes zed until i can get up there. She wont mind  As long as the other end of the harness is unplugable from somewhere reachable..anyone know ?
  6. Used to use them many many years ago. Very good quotes, had forgotten about them. Small Ins company from my home town Thatcham, nr newbury.
  7. I've had what I believe to be possible PTU failure symptons lately..so went to remove PTU today and swap it with the one of my Wifes NA......but when I removed one of the big block connectors on my PTU some of the pins from the PTU snapped inside the connector and the rest looked pretty corroded :headvswal :headvswal Its the Connector that plugs into the Left hand side of the PTU when standing at front of car facing engine bay. I tried to follow the harness to see where it went, but it started raining heavily. Where does the harness go to, can I unplug it from wherever it goes to and replace that whole harness easily ?
  8. Done myself. It houses a 7" VGA Touch screen monitor, hooked up to my in-car PC (carputer)..a few more details in my rides section. Purchased of ebay about a year ago. Black leather with chrome. Dont know any more about it Im afraid.
  9. What a great Idea, I like that.
  10. At revs of over 2k both o2 sensor reading should be moving in a continous sweep up and down the range, less than once a second constantly. If the o2 sensor readings are staitonary or slow moving then they are faulty, and it will be overfuelling to compensate as a safety measure.

No, not that one. Stock looking Black zed with 17/18" chrome alloys. Penny Mallory described it as "Blisteringly quick" and said she had always hankered after one. It was also described as a "Peoples Supercar". ....and they valued decent 240z's at £10k - £15k
  12. 9 days to go. Forum members car I believe.

  14. A 2006 SW Meets diary has been placed here :http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=62889 Please use this thread for suggestions and comments. Some future meets suggestions of my own are : - Joint SE Meet - Southerly SW meets (Devon, Cornwall, Dorset) - Perhaps one big SW meet to include all, and some seperate meet dates. - Rolling Road Day - Track Day (Castle Combe or Haynes Musuem Track) - Evening Meal & Drinks Also to be added soon will be a new National 300zx Day Meet. All future meets are to be held on the first weekend of the month. The reasons for this are : a. Consistency, so everyone is aware of meet dates b. Closest date after pay-day We could also have more than 1 meet a month on some occasions, especially if location is not central....so you may be able to attend at least one on those months. The dates and venues I have already selected are just my suggestions, and can be moved around, I need input from you guys on what you want and when.
  15. Best go see a doctor, must be ill ;) Apart from some minor detailing its basically the replacement of nasty dated orange lenses with white, just like every more modern car and really updates the appearence

Must of been a SE Meet, We've never had a SW meet in Bournmouth, or any meet like that. New date change, can we get a list of those attending ? (names picked from those that said they would appear earlier - Need confirmations) Gruntpa64 Legrath & family Mac300zx ? Yami ? Yampiedog ? Zogg? Pk1? turbopsychosis? greg? greece? old zed?
  17. Does'nt show on series 2 upwards Zeds.
  18. Check the upper link suspension and subframe bushes too
  19. You have to remove most of the boot trim, but apart from that. very easy. You'll need a spring compressor tool.
  20. Anna, Sasquatchi(sasha) and Yami(sharon) in the South West. Plus have recently bought my wife a NA Manual
  21. yes, but it is only the Type R's vtec's that have the 100bhp/litre. Where for example if you were to compare them to a turbocharged car of the same engine size, you would see similar peak power figures, yet the turbocharged car would have almost twice the power through 75% of the rev range. About 60hp down on stock at the wheels. Was that a typo? 1989 Six pot Bmw's - 320/520(150hp) is 75bhp/litre 325i/525i(170hp) is 68bhp/litre 530(200hp) is 66hp/litre 535i/735i(210hp) is 60hp/litre 1989 Astra GTE 8v(124hp) is 62hp/litre 1991 Astra GTE 16v(156hp) is 78hp/litre You'll notice that higher bhp per litre comes with smaller the displacement. If you increase the displacement of a 200hp 2litre car, to 3litre its not going to have 300hp. Its easier to get a higher bhp/litre the smaller the displacement. Yep, I agree, another example of why its not a supercar, but a Sports car with supercar performance for everyday driveablity/praticality/reliablity...etc. Nissan had a target performance figure, and the engine came out of the production line with an engine "detuned" to perform those figures. Whereas a supercar is designed to get the highest potential power figures with little regard to everyday driveablity/praticality/reliablity.
  22. There is an immense improvement over uprated bulbs. Typical HID costs are more like £200, and everyone who has fitted them claim they are one of the best mods you can make out of all their mods. Carefull though..the higher the rating the more blue they are..and the more blue they are the less actual light they make! 4500-6000k is ideal
  23. If its an Import then you need H3c bulbs (not generally available at your typical auto stores) or H3 bulbs for a Uk car. You can however very easily convert Import lights to use standard Uk H3 bulbs.
  24. Dont have a real answer for you, other than that I have seen this before while watching somebody else test the TPS voltage.....similar figures to what your got...although once hooked up to conzult it was actually showing correct figures...........my "guess" would be that your testing it wrong ?
  25. Popping is a sign of serious over-fuelling...and if your not hitting full boost till the end of your rev range then performance will be suffering quite a bit, you should be hitting full boost on stuck tubs at under 3k rpm.
