  1. lol..what a question
  2. If your zed is recently imported and is still on the tyres it came with from japan...change them ! They are not suitable for Uk roads espcially in the wet and dont meet EU regulations.

  4. actually.....standard zed doors close with a nice solid thump....over-time however it seems many lose the thump and gain a tinny clank from loose mountings, rattly window mounts and the need for hinge re-alignment. Dyanmat or Brown Bread would certinatly help though, for a proper job you may want to remove the innerskin and window to cover the inside of the outer skin too.
  5. You'll be pleased to know then that the 300zx holds the highest land speed record for a tuned rwd production car at 262mph, by JUN in 1993
  6. the 350-400bhp* is obtainable easily and relatively cheaply - Exhaust (£400), Induction (£100), Chip(£100), 1bar boost(50p - £300). After that it gets expensive. Bigger injectors (£600), Bigger intercoolers(£750), Bigger turbos(£1500-£3000) and you could be looking at anything from 450bhp-600bhp* ...... but to play it safe then you'll really want Forged pistons (£400-£1000 + £750-£1000 labour to fit), Bigger Radiator (£300) and if engine is being stripped then be a good idea to get some headwork done (£300-£500), and some cams to match the bigger turbos (£500-£1000). Should also allow funds for Uprated clutch (£300-£600) and set of boost, water & oil temp gauges (£100-£300) ....you cant forget bigger brakes (£500-£1500) and suspension either (£500-£2000) * flywheel power

6 pages sounds about right for a weekend.....new posts does'nt seem to be 100% reliable so perhaps it messed up for you last weekend
  8. The standard red definatly has a clear top coat (as I've seen the laqeur peel away on a couple of them).....but I dont know enough about paint types to explain why...
  9. Mine. 19x9.5" rears with 19x8.5" fronts. 4" polished rear lip and 2" front lip
  10. Yep, very simple. Instructions in the FAQ : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=30098&highlight=door+panels
  11. sh*t...Really sorry to see, :( :( :( but glad you and your family are ok.
  12. Rocky 4 was about 20 years ago, and 5 was 15 years go.....definatly rocky 6 ;) Look forward to watching that.......luv rocky films
  13. Original strosek is  Had the opportunity to have a very good look around and a long chat with the owner of an original strosek in belgium. It also had Strosek exhsust strosek leather seats..etc Its hard to describe but there is that something extra about an original strosek compared to the copies that makes them so much better looking in comparison.
  14. Im sorry to say I dont think you have a hope. Existing traders are'nt even allowed to advertise products similar to what you sell as we have another trader who sells such parts..etc
  15. Gaz, your only looking at around £60-70 a corner for a decent set of tyres such as the Falken 452's in yoru stock 16" sizes...and about £20 more per corner for 18"
  16. Praticle depends on use....for example I can get Myself, wife, 2 kids, Golden retriever and luggage in the zed for weekend trip !! ....could'nt do that in the Evo becuase of the saloon boot(dog) ;) More reliable...well the only other Evo owner I know has spent about 5x more than I have in repairs and maintenance than Both my zeds in the past 2 years Acceleration - yeh, quicker of the line if you abuse the clutch to make use of the traction but once moving not as quick. handling - yes, loads of grip...but handling prefences are a personal taste...Im a rwd fan myself. Plus the entire driving experience of sitting high in a saloon does'nt compare to a low sports coupe. Also, Its not just top speed...its mid-range..... compare the accleration from 40+ ....not to mention the low speed (off-boost) driveablity/power of a 2.0 4cyl with a big turbo compared to a 3.0 V6 with twins.
  17. You have the older Rex though I thought, not the Zed competitor FD that Stella is interested in ? Yep, I've had the NA zed stuck up an evo 6's backside from 90 to 140mph+ and I could of overtaken....gearing is very short in them.
  18. I like the look of the Rex...but they are too small for me, drink too much fuel, the whole reliablitly/rebuild problems put me off and they lack the road presence of the zed. As for the Evo (MUCH better than an Impreza), Im not a 4cylinder engine fan and they lack the long legs of the zed. Definatly not as special, but they are fun and praticle.
  19. Yep, Use them a lot. I've had a collection missed once though, but thats once out of about 50 times and they came next day at changed it from a 2-3 day to a next day delivery for free.
