  4. I have done this on 3 different Z's. I believe a couple of other members have also now done this upgrade. Unfortunately its hard for me to give an accurate opinion on the before and after difference of this mod on its own. One was a customers car and I did not do the test drive, but he was very happy with the conversion. Another was an NA converted to a TT, so same final outcome, but very different before and after, and the other is my own Slicktop...... However with my own Slicktop, I did a whole range of other modifications at the same time - Lightweight Pulleys, flywheel, propshaft, divorced wastagates, decat (all of which improve throttle response and acceleration) and the car is about 250kg lighter than most Z's. I can tell you that it revs, responds and accelerates like a completely different animal to a regular 300zx. Top speed is calculated to be around 20mph lower than with the TT diff, limited to about 165mph. It will however reach this speed quicker than the TT setup can. Be aware that RPM will sit 2-300rpm higher at motorway crusing speeds, which will have a negative affect on long distance fuel economy. MWS Motorsports have done a Video showing the before and after NA swap, and it can be seen here http://www.mwsmotorsports.com/media/video/MWSTV-300ZX-NARearSubframeSwap.zip In the video they show about a second difference 0-60mph test. The NA Diff is an R200. The TT Diff is an R230. The R200 is a more popular setup, as used in the Skyline GTR and 200sx. Its not just the Diff thats different though, the NA uses thinner (and lighter) driveshafts than the TT.

  9. Runs 11psi stock, instead of 9. They set it higher from factory to make sure it beat the 300zx. Run the Z on 11psi and then your looking at similar numbers.
  10. NA's do not have boosters, as they do not require them. TT without Booster = much heavier pedal than NA. TT with Booster = Comparable pedal to NA.

  13. Not my cup of tea personally. Im not a fan of the Z31, and I'd prefer the 3.0 V6, than the 2.0, even if it is a rare edition. But appears to be a nice example if you like the z31.

You place your order with them and it gets sent from Z1, or whoever, as if you ordered directly from them, but cheaper.

  22. I would ditch them both and get a decent size 19row oil cooler instead. The charged face size on them is smaller than the stock UK cooler.
  23. lol @ the shite thats being recommended here as alternatives to a Bmw Diesel, and crazy prices. True they are getting on a bit now, and any cheap diesel is a risk on a low budget though. Many used car dealers wont sell older/cheap Diesels, because of the cost to repair from something like a failing fuel pump system. I believe its the Coupe thats offset, rather than the saloon. Although Most cars re-manufactured for RHD suffer from this, some more than others. And some people seem to be more sensitive to it than others.
  24. There is another vid that apparantly shows the scrutineers were mistaken, he had not disobeyed any rules or instructions by a fire Marshall on his previous run. Some sort of miscommunication, that was not handled well on both sides. Either way..that security guard is a d1ck. Kicked his car at the beginning ! and shoved him when he finished. The Engine in that thing is a beast.
