  1. Happy Birthday Dave ! :happybday:
  2. Hope everything's ok, lots of people looking for him.
  3. The Viscous Fan pushes far more Air than the Electric fan ever can, and controls its speed dependent on Temp. An electric setup can do an adequate job, but most do not. It Requires a very high flow fan setup with electronic temp/speed control.

  5. I spent an evening last week at Prodrive's motorsport division Headquarters, and thought I'd share some pics of the sexy goodness on display. Not great quality I'm afraid - Artificial lighting and old camera phone. Aston Martin LMP1 Jenson Buttons Honda F1 Metro 6R4 Rally car Colin McRae's Impreza Rally car Prodrive P2 Concept car

 I didn't go this year, but been going for the past 8 years and Japfest at Castle Combe has traditionally been one of the biggest events of the year with 40-50 Z's from all era's at the event and on track. Looking forward to it next year.
  7. If we don't drive our Z every day as a daily driver were not a Real 300zx fan ? I do 100 miles commuting everyday....no chance im blowing that sort of money on fueling the z for boring motorway treks. 51 Passat 1.8T Sport, Daily driver currently. But I'm going to have to succumb to Diesel, as its costing me too much on fuel too.
  8. Good choice
  9. Yeh, and about 500 people before him :p Its been around for many years. Fantastic garage though.....if my numbers come up then thats the plan
  10. Different size. No different in tint.
  11. The optimum shift point for maximum acceleration is the highest rpm, within the peak power curve, that when changing gear the rpm it drops to has more torque than at the previous shift point. This is aided by the VG relatively flat torque curve. This can be quite easily mathematically modelled by graphing torque vs rpm or power vs speed in each gear, and It will be far closer to peak horsepower output or redline, than the peak torque rpm ! It may also vary between gears.
  12. Well said. Removal as part of an entire weight saving project, in a Race/Track purpose build. But Removal on its own its worthless.
  13. Get yourself a Set of UK 180mph Clocks.
  14. just outside my house :(
  15. Not a lot as an Irish plate unfortunatly. The "MY Z" irish plates were going for about £150 previously
  16. Ridiculous, hideous, Stupendous......and other words that end in 'ous'.
  17. Yep, connect up the ballasts to the bulbs and insert the spades in the stock bulb connector. Then find somewhere secure to mount them. Thats it.

  19. yes. no. no. lots. What exactly do you need to know?
  20. Twin horn setup, so its both sides, not just on the right. The usual culprit is the wiring to them, which are very suseptical to the elements. Either the short earths that go straight from horn to the mounting points, or the power feeds that run up to the Large black fusebox.
  21. ECO Stik - Instant contact adhesive - Solvent version. (comes in a can, you brush it on) Make sure its the Solvent version, It will be locked away in safe or under tills, the non-solvent version is crap.
