red light on dash
Drivers side, rear corner. Usually clipped up inside, but often hanging loose on its wires.

red light on dash
Either have a bulb out, or on the way out. or a poor connection at one of the bulbs. Or the Light checkbox is on the way out, which is a somewhat common fault. Its a black box, the size of a pack of 10 cigarettes, hidden behind the plastic boot panels with a yellow/white connector plugged into it.

Thinking of selling up
sorry to hear your thinking of selling up Dave :( Hope you change your mind, your car is a great example. I wouldn't buy the Monaro personally, really not a fan of them at all and I wouldn't spend more than 6 or 7k on a Evo. if it was my money then it would prob go on an M5 or a 993. or this. Is'nt Sudesh's still available ?

Price of leather hides
Well...The full leather kit I purchased from america, consisting of Front and rear seats was only £500, cut and stitched as a perfect fit, with foam padding and everything you need. A typical UK trimmer will charge £1k-1.5k , but the vast majority of that is Labour, not materials. Its a lot of work to custom trim from scratch.

Nistune maf setup and
The Nistune is a great bit of kit for mapping the stock ECU. its all about the quality of the mapping, not the equipment used. The SAFC its an inferior band-aid system, used to alter fuelling that should of be mapped properly at the ECU. Isn't Doolz traditionally 1 MAF and 1 dummy MAF? Anyway, If your running 2 active MAFS then then the ECU will only read the single MAF signal, so you would need to half the reading in Nistune.......or use a Selin controller with is a popular option these days as Herman said, or just use the SAFC to deal with the dual intake only as John said.

3000gt's
gtouk.org.uk is indeed the main UK club. Buyers guide : http://www.gtouk.org.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=48212 Never owned one, but I have worked on and driven a couple. Vowed never to work on one again tbh....every little job was painfully more difficult than it is on a Z. In regards to the driving....big, heavy, comfy, dull. Didn't like the interior and found the experience a bit underwhelming. Comparable on paper to the Z, and there are quite a few comparison reviews of it and the other Jap super sports, but its always been a bit of an underdog compared to the Z and Supra.

do we all spend more time with our cars than the missus?
I probably spend more time on here, than with the Missus. But If it wasn't for my sig pic I'd have forgotten what the Z looks like.

Zedworld Chipped ECU
lol. Indeed, but then they should be part of every Z owners checks whether increasing boost or not. Providing the car has been fully checked for proper running (as above), then there are no additional alterations required.

Z breaker ebay siamese ID
Thats not him. Thats a z owner working on his own engine. On a seperate note; SWZ Performance and SWZ Parts closed down 3-4 years ago. Any work carried out these days by the ex-owner (which I believe to be as a private individual in his spare time) has nothing to do with the original SWZ.

Thanks To John Dixon
Yeh, Johns great. His ECU remaps are the best, i wont use anyone else for stock ecu remaps.

Broadband speed arghhhhh
I feel your pain. I live in a small village, with a non LLU exchange and no cable of Fibreoptics. At peak times (5pm - 12am) , I'm only getting about the same as you, and the latency is really bad. Off-peak im able to get about 8mb but the Throttling that Sky & BT put on the system is ridiculous, most likely due to an overpopulated system that struggles with the load.

Headlight unit removal
2 bolts from above, and 2 from below You can get in via the nose panel, indicator slots and inner arch. I would'nt remove the bumper personally, it helps with access a little but its a lot of extra work.

datascan result
Since its still in cold start mode, but your revs are that low and you say it ran like a dog.....then it seems like you may not be running on all cylinders.
