  1. There are a lots of other examples out there that work on the 300zx that tell you the same info , but its only the MPG stuff they dont show - although thats not very accurate on OBDII anyway. - Techtom MDM - Greddy Informeter - Laptop running Conzult or Datascan - PDA running EcuTalk It only reads the data that the ECU monitors, so I would'nt compare it to a Stack or other Race Dash system.
  2. ah, the diagnostics wont work then. Not sure Im afraid. As Mario says on other cars the resistor pack is a common culprit, but I have no idea about the setup of the Manual heater system on the z32, its very rare.
  3. I have my rear fog wired up to to the front fog switch could'nt tell you which wire I used though as I just used a multimeter and went through the wires till I found the one that had 12v with the switch on and nothing with switch off. Pretty sure it was from middle connector.
  4. There is a Aircon/Heater diagnostics http://www.ttzd.com/tech/autocctech.html I've only ever done it once myself, not entirely sure if it helps.
  5. Sorry to hear :(
  6. Being a 1996 Yours would be a Series 4. The biggest changes were going from Series 1 to series 2 - Aircon changed, electric passenger seat, seatbelts on b-pillars for imports, tweed replaced for suede or velour (depending on if you have leather or cloth seats)..etc Series 3 then got Airbag steering wheel, Kerb lights, Electronic hicas, different rear spoiler, cruise control on stalk. Series 4 has 16bit ecu and is where Nissan started skimping on costs unfortuantly and previous standard equipment starting becoming options.
  7. Its a nice feature, although most people wont know about it asits only on series 3 onward cars
  8. Perfectly reasonable power figure. Most cars here with basic mods and stock turbos will be running that.
  9. Have seen this before unfortunately. Im sure you wont be the only one here not insured correctly. It will say somewhere in there small print somewhere about imports :( Thats the trouble when getting insurance. Insurers that do cover imports each tend to list them differently, and it can be easy for somebody to select a UK model by mistake and those that dont insure imports will only list the one model which your bound to select, not realising they mean UK only.
  10. Its not just the connectors but the wires within the loom themselves that go brittle and fail also. Quite often with running problems grabbing the main loom near the battery or at the back of the plenum before the coilpack and injector loom splits off and giving it a wiggle causes the engine to find or drop cylinders.
  11. looks aside, why's it pointless ?
  12. ok..stupid question time...whats is it ? Looks like a dog, but I just tried that with my golden retriever and it did'nt go so well
  13. that depends on who you buy it from and what you buy. Im not sure anyone does an all-in-one "dressup" kit. Generally people like to go for Polished - Plenum, Hardpipes, Bonnet stays, Rad brackets, Fusebox covers Slick Pete is our forum trader for all things shiney, have a chat with him about what he can offer.
  14. I've only ever fitted them with the engine out. Mind due I think with my Aircon removed it should give me more room to get the connector through. The biggest pain is moving the Airbox and gubbins out of the way in the footwell.
  15. That is disturbing
  16. Sounds interesting. Look forward to some pics. Yeh would just been some sheet metal. The racing Z32's used space frame chassis and fibreglass shells though, and did'nt really collerate to either the LWB or SWB as we know them.
  17. Jimmer will be having some fun with that then. I dont envy him :) Going to buy new loom for mine too, wish I had done it when I had engine out though.
  18. Actually, I might be wrong.....not sure if it does use Direct ingition. So could be Z31. I know that the VG30DET from the Cima uses direct ignition, but maybe the Z31 uses traditional distributor and wire ?
  19. Not sure if he mean Z31 or Z32 but both use direct ignition with no dizzy. Where did you copy that from ?
  20. Somebody is sponsored by Zymol Zymöl Royale Estate Glaze - £8118 !!!
  21. Yep. Pre 94/95 is Black, and after that they got lazy and did'nt paint them anymore, so they are a goldish metal colour.
  22. lol Those Teins SS will be a much softer ride than what he has on there now
