What the hell is with the parts market for the z32
Not got time to read through everything posted so far, but it seems pretty clear that If you want to promote this as more of a club than just an online forum then the very first step is the need to drop the ".co.uk" part from the main name.

It will go into safe mode and use the safe mode maps - Generally retarded timing and richer fueling.

But the 99spec indicators are so much better looking than the 89 spec indicators though. One of my favourite mods I've seen done to older bumpers is to modify them to accept the more modern looking 99spec indicators.

na diff in tt
SWB and LWB subframes are the same, however the rear half of the prop differs and so will need a NA rear SWB prop if converting a SWB TT to NA Rearend. (or a custom one-piece lightweight prop)

New version is decent, but terrible search engine. The worst I have used on any forum and one of the reasons I use the site a lot less than I used to.

Manufacture Date On Door Mirrors
SWB does not have a rear seat, its a pure 2 seater. Its 21.5cm (8.5") shorter than the LWB. The easiest way to visually tell between them is that the SWB has a Fuel filler cap in front of the Wheelarch, and on the LWB its behind the Rear arch.

Underbody pictures
lol Thats pretty good for a model. Anyone have any pics of the Undertrays fitted ? Trying to get an idea of the angles and shape of the stock front undertray. Also the stock undertray sections with intercooler exit ducts in.

Does anyone have any really clear pictures of the entire underside of the Z ? Preferably a SWB, but LWB pics still helpful. Also with the stock undertrays fitted. Needed for a project Im working on and dont want to rely on just memory.

Burgandy SWB looks like it could possibly be Andy Isherwoods. The one with the Red dash I have seen before at SWZ about 5-6 years ago. Was an NA auto. Not sure if was a Forum member.

intercooler
An Intercooler fan is : Good - for reducing heat soak from an intercooler in a hot engine bay in low speed/standstill traffic. Bad - for restricting Airflow at medium-high speed. The Smart-car has a fan on its intercooler becuase its a city-car that spends its time in stop-start traffic. It also spends quite a lot of its time on boost in low speed situations. The location of its intercooler in the engine bay means that it would suffer from heat-soak from the engine at low speed. It also has a very low top speed and runs a small turbocharger, so has less of a requirement for high airflow at speed. The 300zx intercoolers do not really suffer from heat soak due to their location away from the ending in the front bumper with direct frontal ventilation. A fan setup will just restrict airflow to the Intercooler charge-face at speed.

F1 racing flywheel lightweight - nssan 300zx twin turbo
Only ever heard bad things about these. From slipping with only mild power increases , to the friction surfaces coming off and the thing falling apart.

Good looking tyres can kill
Damaged steel belt or a breakdown of ply within tyre sidewall. Probably pothole damage.

Has car Insurance gone down?
Cant understand how you were paying £1k insurance for a 1.4 206 (Ins group 11) , but £183 for the Z (Ins group 20) ? , or how you accepted that this made sense at the time. Its good that you've found cheaper quotes this year, but it certainly sounds more like you were ripped off last year rather than there having been an insurance drop this year.

The question should really be how were you charged as much as £1k Insurance for a 1.4 206HDi at 34 yrs old with 10yrs NCB and 3 points ?! It should never have been more than a few hundred. Thats a lot more than most of us of similar age pay for insurance on a 300zx TT.

Focus RS
Yep, the Focus RS would probably be quicker than a Stock TT around something like the top gear test track. The Focus RS was 2 seconds quicker around there than the 350z on Top gear's lap time board. (Although the 370z was 4 seconds quicker than the 350z (2 secs quicker than the Focus), Im surprised the 370z is THAT much quicker than the 350z ) Although Nezzi is asking about straight line race with a 400hp TT.
