  1. £220 is correct http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/HowToTaxYourVehicle/DG_10012524 All pre-2001 cars are taxed in 2 brackets, dependent on engine size. After 2001 its done by Co2 emissions.
  2. Dont touch the CAS, or you'll have to set the timing all up again with strobe....Even if you mark it, its very sensitive.
  3. The recent sunbathing ones are real. This is what all the controvesy is about atm, her getting snapped topless by a french magazine on holiday. Poor quality pics and not that flattering though.
  4. from a TT onto a SWB makes no sense. Did you mean from a LWB onto a SWB ? Either way - fitment is all the same.

Count me in. Pub lunch sounds good. Either sat or sun is fine. Im not that familiar with pubs in weston, but im sure somebody will be.
  6. Cheaper from the U.S, inc shipping and tax. Plus as Pete said delivery is typically in 3-5 days.
  7. The Toad ai606 is the alarm you'll always see reccomended on forums as the one that reliably does its job. It matches your requirements and its Cheap too. Clifford have lots of bells and whistles but are renowned for being problematic and a lot of installers even refuse to fit them.
  8. Looks fantastic, sorry to hear about the issues. becuase he had already done a slow down lap. You dont need to let the car idle, you just need to cool the turbo's for the last part of your journey by taking it steady.
  9. About 250kg. Yeh, the 4 feet versions are more stable for moving it around.
  10. Yes, and it should also be noted that 225 is the stock front wheel width with a 7.5" wheel , so you have been running narrower than stock previously.
  11. There are a LOT of Z's with over 200k, nothing unusual there in the U.S Last time I seen there were a lot over 250k and there was even one over 300k and rumours of one over 400k ! edit: In fact that thread z32bolt linked is the one I was thinking of.
  12. Galaxy SII o2 - £27 pm 300 mins Unlimited texts 500mb Data
  13. There are a few exceptions, but in general : In terms of exterior - Everything forward of the A Pillar is the same and everything after differs...eg. Doors, side & rear Windows, trim, targa's, tailgate, bumper, filler cap ..etc all Differ. Underneath the Propshaft rear half, catback exhaust and fuel tank differ. Inside everything forward of the B-pillar is the same, with the exception of the centre console lid/armrest, carpet and roof lining. The B-pillar trim and everything rearward differs.

  15. The NA is a couple of mpg average better on fuel than the TT....but the TT is better on long motorway runs due to its taller gearing and becuase you should be mostly off-boost when cruising.
  16. I hate the idea of a toyota engine in a Nissan even more than a american engine. I get why people fit big American V8's - they are cheap, plentiful and there is an immense amount of aftermarket support (in the U.S)...but why fit a Toyota V8 instead of a Nissan V8? Yeh, they are available in the UK but its simple and cheap enough to just import a Nissan V8. The VH45 is a more advanced and better designed engine and is the engine that Nissan wanted to fit to the Z32 in the first place. Obtaining the engine is the easy bit when it comes to doing the conversion! Nissan V8's come in a very detuned state for production, at about 320hp. But Its not hard to get 400hp out of them with new Headers, cams, manifolds and remap. 500+ if you want to do a Hardcore NA build like John Dixons, or the sky's the limit with Force induction.....600+ without touching internals....a LOT more if you go extreme... Engine conversion is a lot of work though, and not cheap. Engine mounts, Gearbox adaptor, custom looms, engine management, pipework..etc Height can be an issue, V8's tend to be taller, so you either go drysump or lower subframe or custom intake manifolds or large bonnet bulge. There are several forums dedicated to Z Engine conversions - http://forums.hybridz.org/ for example Alternatively, if you wanted to go down an entirely different route, that I've yet to see in the UK - VQ30DETT (Twin turbo charge a VQ30DET). This is the engine that Nissan replaced our engine with and would of been fitted to the 300zx is it was not discontinued. Its basically a lighter, stronger, faster revving version of our own 3.0 V6. It comes as single turbo, but can be easily twin turbocharged.
  17. Import the engine from Japan or the U.S. There are quite a few VH45de Nissans in the UK, including at least 2 z32's......one of which is John Dixon...and the other Im not allowed to talk about..yet ;)
  18. Always disliked the idea of a big lazy American V8 in a Japanese Supercar/Sportscar. Stick to Jap imo..and stick to same Manufacture - VH45de / Vk45de / VK56de - Considered by many to be the best engines to come out of Japan, and used in a lot of the major race series. Very robust, very tuneable.
  19. Impul Rear. Very rare. I like it, although I sadly had to bin one of them a few years back. It was for a SWB and I put it up for sale and no takers and had to clear the space :(
  20. Wishing you luck in the new venture. If you get yourself a few big jobs done then use them as examples of your work to advertise your services on Club Forums like this one - you can tap into a market often overlooked. Enthusiasts like us are always in need of a good bodyshop but most rarely touch the Internet for marketing.
  21. You can get nice bright white sidelights that will match your HID's. I dont have a source, but Im sure I just got mine from ebay....unfortuantly I also got another set from ebay that were advertised as white and they were blue like those.
  22. Approx : 0-60 : 4.5 secs (stock 5.5 ) 0-100: 11 secs (stock 14) 175-180 top speed
  23. First you'll need to find out if the Landrover you have uses a H4-3. Every car uses a certain fitment, There are about a dozen different fitments. For the Z you need a H3 kit.
  24. Pics of that thing have been posted on here for the past 5 or 6 years. Never seen any of it actually finished, wonder if the owner realised his mistake and torched it.
