  1. My mistake, yes August 92 they were launched. Never seen one without Airbag wheel or older than 93
  2. Radiators are the same. I think you mean the Oil cooler I mentioned above.
  3. The Fuel and timing maps can be analysed, and the parameters for Speed limits, rpm limits, injector K values checked ..etc Its only about 70pound for a remapped chip by somebody like John dixon anyway though.
  4. All verts came with them I believe..never seen a vert with digital controls. Some of the very early cars came with the manual heater controls too, and very late models too when nissan made cutbacks and made the digital controls optional. All verts are series 3 onwards
  5. There are lots of differences, we could list all day, but were talking bits worth swapping over.
  6. You cant add the aircooled air to the inlet, as it would be unmetered air so were taking about directing the air onto the charge face of the Intercooler.....but the air temp and output from the aircon unit would only be equivelent to the ambient air that hits the intercoolers when traveliing at slow speed anyway. A Water IC spray system is far more effective at combatting heatsoak, but it is'nt so much of an issue with the Z, compared to top mounted IC equipped cars, and a Injection system is another great way of lowering temps.
  7. UK rear anti-roll bar is thicker. UK Cruise control ECU (ECCS) in passenger footwell - UK version allows cruise to work at higherspeeds UK Clocks - in MPH with pressure gauges in PSi. Better looking too. UK Engine oil cooler - much larger Caliper differences - One probably has Iron, the other Alloy. The Iron caliper is Heavier but less prone to warping discs. The Alloy caliper is lighter, but more prone to warping. hmm....struggling to think of anything else...
  8. I dont mean to come across like im picking faults or as a complete cnut :o , its just that im simply concerned that if the dyno numbers are correct then the stock NA fueling is being pushed way past its limits. If you come on here dismissing everyone advice without explanations, then it comes across as arrogant and ignorant wether you meant it that way or not. Injectors which are running static (100% duty) have all sorts of reliability issues - Your no longer in control of fuelling, mixtures start to lean out, injectors overheat and complete failure is far more likely. You may not have had experience with failed injectors on a VG, but myself and plenty others have. ..and to be fair, you did need to explain, as you were originally claiming to have swapped identical parts as an upgrade. If the fuelling has been properly checked with AF ratios and Duty cycle checks, and your happy everything is fine then thats good to know, puts everyone else's mind to rest :) We are all very interested in the results of whats is a very unique setup.
  9. The NA and TT fuel pressure regulator and dampner are the same !! Is there a AF ratio printout with this dyno run , and checked duty cycle on Conzult ?
  10. Its for turning the ECU into diagnostics mode (to get the error codes), its standard. Its a standard ECU with a remapped chip by Japanese tuning company. I always prefer to replace an unknown JDM chip with a Known quality UK mapped chip.
  11. Trevz, usually parked in layby by the J22 Roundbout most days.
  12. I know this might sound a silly, but its a common mistake - if its an Auto, check you have not left it in gear. It will not allow you to start it unless in Park or Neutral.
  13. The noise you hear will be the fuel pump priming btw, not the hicas
  14. What happens when you turn the ignition key to activate the starter... Starter fires but car wont start ? nothing at all - no starter noise ? A Clicking noise ?
  15. Looking good. are those the bigger Z1 throttle bodies ? You'll need to cut/grind away enough of that engine mount to give you clearance. What tubs are they ?
  16. Displacement = (Pi/4) (bore)^2 (stroke) (#cylinders) / 1000 Stroke = 83mm cylinder = 6 87mm -> 2960.45cc = 3.0 litre 88mm -> 3028.89cc = 3.0 litre 89mm -> 3098.12cc = 3.1 litre 90mm -> 3168.13cc = 3.2 litre 91mm - > 3238.93cc - 3.2 litre
  17. Thats what I thought, but she managed to crash into the driveway entrance pillar as she pulled in, knock the pillar down, drive straight over it and continue into the corner of the house ! All becasuse she panicked when she first hit the pillar and slammed the acclerator down instead of the brake :headvswal Its a good job she looks so good naked, otherwise...... :slap:
  18. That looks like my Wife's parking. She actually wrote off her 1st car on our Driveway !
  19. I tell you what would be interesting...if you were to do a before and after (stock vs JD ECU and Boost increase). We could easily swap over the ECU between runs and then turn the boost up. Yours being a rebuilt and healthy engine should make a very nice comparison test.
  20. I helped build and drove a Single Turbo Z a couple of years back. But it was'nt as big a turbo setup as yours and the car is no longer running that setup. There is a Silvia running around that I was also involved with thats running a very large single turbo on a VG (from a Z32), utilizing the intake manifolds from Nisan Cima VG30DET. As far as I know yours will be the first big Turbo Single in the country in a Z32, and Im really looking forward to the finished result.
  21. There is only so much praise and respect you can expect for doing something just becuase its different if the end result is that its not as good and costs a lot more than doing it other ways. Personally I would of fitted a set of TT manifolds, turbos, IC's and pipework to the NA engine instead - More efficient, cheaper and still different to what everybody else does - Pretty sure nobody in the UK is currently running that setup. However saying all that, Im pleased it seems to of worked out for you and its given you the results you wanted. I would strongly suggest fitting TT injectors and a remap. It does'nt matter if its providing sufficient fueling now, its about reliablity , Those NA injectors are running way past 100% duty so their lifespan is severely shortened.
  22. Nice one Si, all ready for the a nice bit of extra power then.
  23. He has them in his sig pic (and rides)
  24. becuase when you cut out the middle bar you are left with the cut off ends which you need to fill and smooth for it to look better. Unless your headunit sticks out further than the DIN fascia, in which case it would hide the ends and you wont need to do any fibreglassing.
