HID alignment problem?
The adjuster could well be bust and is very common as they are plastic cogs, doing nowt just going round and round  Can you actually see the lenses moving as you are screwing?

Fog light switch question
Spot on Richard, pull out one notch and the front fogs come on and a green symbol lights up to indicate on, pull out another notch and the rear fog comes on with an orange illuminated symbol that is on alongside the green one

******* fuels gone up, how much is it costing to fill up now?
I was going to start a thread tonight on this very subject as I have just put in £52.50 and it is only a smidging above halfway on the gauge :crying: I might try next time to get in £100 on the one fill up - don't think that will be a problem :surrender:

battery + alternater probs
Our mx5 was charging when it felt like it, battery was new and alternator is only 3 years old. Fan belt was completely goosed though, changed it and all the problems went away  Get a tester on the battery and see how much dark current there is running when all is off :thumbup1:

Turning a series 4 into a series 2 (or part)
I think you don't have the right kind of bulbs in your pod, this is mine with a combination of red and blue leds  I want another as the speed control knob is missing and the 4th speed numeral is all mashed up but it is not beating me up and yes they are impossible to find

Mot today!
He has obviously not seen mine :lol: Congrats on the MOT Gaz :thumbup1: Andy

cold in the car
When it was really really cold a couple of weeks back, on my short trip to work the heater never got warm at all, I was freezing  of course I was concerned as I was watching the engine temp gauge go above where it usually sits :confused1: I was glad to turn off and go in to work, a bit later when the day had warmed up to -4 :whistling: I went out to it. I put a bit of readymix antifreeze in the top of the rad, not a great amount really and ran it, it did not get warm for ages it seemed, but all of a sudden I got heat and everything was ok then and since :cool3:

Headlight bulbs
Leave your 55w halogen high beam bulbs alone and get the 6000k H3 50/55w HID kit for the dipped projector lights

Oh No - Salty Work Equip's
F**k u!!!! :xxx: If I would of bought them I would of plumped for 18's myself but the car is lowered and I am more than happy with the stance so it's not beating me up. If some came up and especially deep dish all round I would be finding it hard to resist :cool3:
-
Oh No - Salty Work Equip's
I have tried all sorts to clean them and then to polish them but nothing works better than the soapy pad and then no polish or anything applied after  Don't think they could of been any more salty and if I can just bring them back like I have done then why bother with fancy products

Oh No - Salty Work Equip's
Seeing as I use my car every day and about a month, six weeks ago the roads were full of rocksalt. Couple that with sub zero temps I just never got round to washing the car and I certainly will not take it to a roadside car wash :nono: I notice the wheels were getting more and more filthy and of course I knew this was salt  Oh deary dear ruined  A bit of soap and water - a complete waste of time  Fear not - look at them now  20 mins on each one and I have them back beautiful again - all shiny shiny How is all done? Well I have posted before, good old fashioned brillo and elbow grease, other products I find a bit lame, I have even used acid but it is the brillo that works best for my wheels - so don't knock me - again!!!! You will see they were pretty 'caked', I don't see how I would of got them clean otherwise.

SWB Boot Courtesy Light
Another cheeky comment, again nowt to do with me but it stops the panel dropping through :thumbup1: I have more MDF in my car than a builders yard
-
SWB Boot Courtesy Light
I see nice one  Nothing to do with me the boot build so have never thought a great deal about it, I have tried but I cannot get the spacesaver out through that gap, even if I try it diagonally :tongue_smilie: When I got the car I had even to fit spade connectors on the sub corner builds so I could lift these out when necessary

changing wheels
Good idea Richard, screwfix do one also  http://www.screwfix.com/prods/13244/Hand-Tools/Spanners-Wrenches/Wrenches/Laser-Telescopic-Wheel-Wrench Not sure what size your nuts are :tongue_smilie: but you can put any 1/2 drive socket on these

SWB Boot Courtesy Light
Fitted a courtesy light on my SWB as only the LWB's have them  Just go on ebay and buy whichever takes your fancy, mine is here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FIAT-SEICENTO-INTERIOR-COURTESY-LIGHT-2001-2004-/190484028868?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c59bb9dc4 Wire it in to the relay behind the passenger seat, it will then come on and off when you open and close the boot as there is a switch incorporated in the boot lock mechanism. Don't forget a security measure also, as with the voltage drop if some loser opens the boot the alarm will trigger immediately. I might spray the surround of it black when it warms up  Anyway hope you like the location

Pod Light Illumination
Having had blue light illumination in my pods for some time and as I am a complete fiddler and always seeking improvement, I have fitted a combination of red and blue led bulbs in the pods :cool3: You will see above the red bulb illuminates the red 'heat' graphic and two down I have fit a blue bulb and this lights up the cold graphic bar quite well  You will notice the knob is missing for the speed control so I desperately need one?? Anyone please!! Also 4th speed graphic is missing but this does not bother me as much as the missing knob!! This next one is the right pod we all have and just a simple alternate red and blue configuration, the red led's showing the HRW and front fogs are 'on' was done by Groover a while ago, thank you as ever again  same on the left pod with the recirc and a/c led's. Please note for you that are eagle eyed the steering column shroud is not fitted in this pic. This last pic is there to show that I have 4 of these T10's in the holders for the needle illumination with me having glow dials http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330480920198&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT These are bright and would you call the oil pressure gauge well lit or just full of light bleed? This bleed also lit up the sides of the 'GReddy' and so to complete the centre illumination of this I loosely put in a red led to complete. You will also notice that these bulbs also light up the odometer and trip readings  Happy Christmas to all. Andy :santa:

Yes - correct - plenty of primer but no snow :whistling:
-
cmon then humbugs
As much as I like looking at girls, changed mine for something traditional and sensible :thumbup1: We need some snowflakes on the home page :tt2: is that too much to ask!!

U.S lights??
Some pics showing my car with the smd and led bulbs I recommended in an earlier post, please forgive the snow :tongue_smilie: This is what I have come on when the light switch is turned up one to put the sidelights on :thumbup1: Next one is what comes on when the fog light switch is hit on the right pod  The next two are with the dipped hid's on as well
