  1. Must admit Daz that the wife did notice yours last summer and some credit must go to to you kind sir for the inspiration  Your conservatory does look nice and seeing as the same flooring as just been done in there also, I don't think I can resist lighting it up in there  Might well get some of that Graham for the conservatory as I will need longer lengths in there, I have only lit up this one corner of the kitchen so needed only 3.5 mts, so the 3 x 1.2mts did the trick nicely for little cost, I know i have joins but only 12v and bulleted together very safely/securely :punk: The brightness is spot on and gives the kitchen a nice white look, in fact at night we just have these on and it's perfect for making mugs of milky coffee and cutting cake :tt2: I could of pointed the leds down but this was not as bright as facing them out  Anyway Graham will correct me if I am wrong but dimmers will not work with LED's :winkiss:
  2. I am now totally going LED crazy :tongue_smilie: Not content with putting these all over in my car, I had the bright idea of lighting up the plinths in the kitchen Having had some new wood flooring put down and the old plinths thrown away I could then wire in these clear flexible LED's. If you want to have a go for very little money get one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/12V-2A-POWER-ADAPTER-SUPPLY-AQUARIUM-LED-STRIP-LIGHT-UK-/160513698304?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Fish&hash=item255f5caa00 Simple on/off switch that I have just inside a cupboard http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150503383634 Then 3 of these in my case giving 360 LED's in total http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/120cm-White-Car-Flexible-strip-120-LED-PVC-Light-Bulb-/330526463963?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4cf4e997db This pic shows the strips just in the process of glue gunning under the units All fitted now
  3. Yeah, but I do have spacers on the fronts 25mm, correct offsets with the rears and it sits on HSD coilovers :cool3: You cannot just stick the 17's on and expect it to look right without tinkering
  4. Mine are 17's and that size you state is what I have on the front, they were 235's on there when I got the car. The rears are a wider wheel and I think they are currently 245's but again these were 255's
  5. Received Jeff as you stated with Parcelforce next day......Superb service - I thank you  Fitted now and what a big difference :thumbup1:, my others were tired
  6. That's the best I've seen you use that club  For the record, pm'd and paypal money sent. Thanks Jeff
  7. You certainly have features on your car that nobody else does :surrender: I am sure there are lots on here who read your posts and will help if they can but it is not easy from far away. Don't beat yourself up too much over the faults, you will get to the bottom of it in time I'm sure
  8. I have two here, one is to go in the indicator stalk on the Jspec and this controls those kerb lights when indicating, the other though - haven't got a clue :confused1:
  9. Mine are a tad weary, frost or any sort of weight and I am holding it open with my head :hammer: Mine is SWB and when fully open on the car from ball to ball this length is 690mm, so if the LWB's are the same I am wanting some. Please get back to me, Andy.
  10. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=140332&highlight=headlights This is when I did mine and again a bit of a write up, buy plenty of the gears as they are not much money and there is always someone on here who needs them, I even have some left and am gonna guess at 3 packs without looking. The only thing I wish I had done whilst the lights were in bits is fit some angel/halo eyes using something like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Flexible-Car-Strip-Bulb-Light-White-Waterproof-24-LED-N-/320619107746?pt=UK_HomeGarden_Lighting_Lamps_Lighting_SM&hash=item4aa66355a2
  11. Major job - good luck with it!!!!! I will have your non digital pod though when you are done with it, mine is a tad tatty.
  12. The cable on the right (passenger side) could be too tight and holding her open a touch too much, just take the cover off and the tension adjusters are staring you in the face, a simple job :thumbup1:
  13. Very nice Daffy :thumbup1: Wife had a puncture the other day so I went out to rescue her. She was looking out for me on the road, she said 'I can tell your car a mile off - your lights are not like anyone elses' - sooooo so white :cool3:
  14. 35 watters though your link Graham? Got mine from this guy, ballasts might be a bit bigger but still going strong a year on  Very very quick HK delivery I recall  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/H3-50W-55W-HID-Conversion-Xenon-Kit-4300K-6000K-8000K-/150539143056?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item230cd50790
  15. I got a relay but not sure if the pins on this link are all the right way round but the one I got was just a straight swop, if it's not just a simple spaded loop will fix it - the flasher relay is just above the accelerator pedal by the way. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Electronic-LED-Flasher-Relay-Fix-Turn-Signal-3-Pins-New-/370474407147?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5641fed4eb I have these T10's in the side indicators behind the clear lense - very very bright http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2x-194-168-T10-SMD-5-LED-Lights-Bulbs-Lamp-Pair-Amber-/300435750896?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45f35dbff0 A xenon white coloured sidelights in the front indicator housing http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2x-White-36-LED-Light-Bulb-1156-382-Tail-Stop-Indicator-/330518276847?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4cf46caaef Same but amber indicator bulb in the indicator housing of course  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-X-36-LED-Car-Tail-Turn-Signal-Amber-Light-Bulb-Lamp-/190487142351?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c59eb1fcf I have recommended the above bulbs as Graham will well know so many times :thumbup1: - I could not be happier with my set up, colour, brightness, etc
  16. Pics of mine are in post 9 in this thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=141251 I cannot remember how I started to get them off although I do recall it involved sliding
  17. You certainly have a carbon fetish James - have another look round and see if there is anything else you can do :whistling: Do the fuel filler flap next
  18. Check out this thread where there are a couple of links. I have done mine, just rubbed them right back with emery cloth, primed, glossed and then lacquered :cool3: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=144648
  19. Well when you post on here brace yourself for an avalanche of help and advice from z lovers :winkiss:
  20. I have EL dials so light does not shine through when the symbol is lit, to test of course when you think your fuel is low try putting the two wires from something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-x-Pre-wired-5mm-Bright-Red-LEDs-Prewired-12V-LED-/350388111646?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item5194c2491e under the orange bulb holders two contacts, 50% chance you get them in the right position first time, you could then position your new low fuel light anywhere you want then  The original bulb for low fuel is a clear T10 with an orange rubber johnny on it
  21. Here you are bud, on my wanted list perhaps - not made up my mind yet  http://www.redhotstyling.co.uk/carcept-nissan-extreme-rear-window-spoiler-p-1497.html?osCsid=bb473cea6b6de978a87e8336627a97ec Andy
  22. I have some spare metal cogs James, not sure how many but they are not so expensive, someone might put a link up for you as I want my tea :thumbup1:
  23. Just checked, on the merc on manual sidelights, pulling the knob does turn the front fogs on and then another pull does turn the rear fog on as well, so no need for the dipped lights to be on for these to come on in the deep fog :thumbup1:
